  We opened two accounts at Lumbee Bank this summer. I must admit that I have never had a banker talk to us about opening an account knowing that we had accounts at two other banks but Mark Madden (branch manager) did. He promised us service and he has delivered! We opened our accounts during the pandemic but it absolutely went so smoothly. Mark had told us that we should give him a call if we ever wanted to open or talk about opening an account. We called and he arranged for Katie McKenzie to work with us on opening our accounts. She, too, was very knowledgeable, friendly and capable. Katie said to call if we needed anything. She may have regretted telling me that because I have taken her at her word. I have gotten her to work with me on setting up our online banking. I needed medallion stamps and she got me scheduled literally within minutes of my calling her and I was able to get the stamps within an hour of my initial call (and the branch with the stamps was 30 minutes away)!! A bank that I have done business with for years had scheduled an appointment for the stamps 10 days later (I called them first). When I got there, Janet Newton (who turned out to be a VP) took me to the board room to complete the paperwork. On our way out, she introduced me to the bank President, Bryan Maynor, who offered his assistance if I needed anything. I sent a note to the CEO acknowledging the wonderful treatment I had gotten. I immediately got a thank you note from him (Kyle Chavis) and yet another offer of assistance. If you are looking for a local bank that specializes in SERVICE for their customers, take a look at Lumbee Guaranty Bank. From the teller window to the board room, everyone and I mean EVERYONE was so helpful, friendly and made it obvious that they not only enjoy their jobs but they are very good at what they do and their primary focus is on the customer! BTW, we didn’t open huge accounts but we have been treated as though we were the largest depositors in the bank. That is all you need to know! They walk the walk!!

  I absolutely love banking with Lumbee Bank in Fairmont! The tellers make you feel welcome as you walk in the door (now with Covid, they are glad to serve you at the window as well). If there is a problem with your account, you are immediately informed and can take action. They are always willing to help and go beyond. I could not ask for a better banking relationship than in my hometown of Fairmont. I wish Lumbee Guaranty Bank would expand their services in other counties throughout both Carolinas.

  The branch in Fairmont is wonderful place to do business the ladies are very helpful an curtious. It’s a pleasure doing business there
