Will V3Overall I've had a pleasant experience with TVA. All the branches I've been to staff has been kind and courteous. Yall helped tremendously build my credit by taking a chance with me. That said, I've not had the best experience with Alcoa lately. There's a man, either an assistant manager or loan officer (not sure), who did my motorcycle loan application. During the application he connected to the call center to get the application approved Normally they would ask a manager to sign off on it and be done with it. While doing this his behavior and tone gave me a judgemental feeling. Also while asking for a credit line increase later he did the same thing.. and was very rude about it. I'm not sure if Ms Rule is still the manager or not, I suspect not, but she used to approve my loans without reaching out to someone countie(s) away. Should I have lending needs in the future I'm tempted to make the drive to Knoxville since Alcoa has to call them anyway now.

A5Thank you TVA CU for giving me change for a $20 bill despite me not being a member. I was in a rush, needed a bill broken and had a fussy baby in the car. I didn’t want to get out so I asked if they’d make change and they did. You really helped me in that moment, as my CU’s drive-through is currently closed down. I’m considering opening accounts here because of your kindness. Great service from this location.

Caitlynd Blevins2I wasn't paid until the 3rd and one of my subscriptions was pending until it could be paid...then TVA charged me a $32.00 fee?! I just got paid and now I am left with $30....I get paid every 2 weeks so I can't really promise any subscriptions to be paid on a specific date because my pay varies from week to week...so I will be charged this fee everytime?! I'm having half a Mind to leave this bank for theft...
Response from the ownerHi Caitlynd, we release funds as soon as we receive them from any employer. However, holidays can delay deposits because they don't get sent to us as early depending on the source, which will result in a delay with early deposits. ashley richardson1The absolute worse place to ever get help. I always cash my fiance's checks at my local bank with no issues I just happened to be In There area and stopped to put into my account and the said he needed to be with me. Never have had this with another bank I provide my id the checks are signed by both parties and you have my bank info. Ask for the complaint number and they give me the branch to another location. Called just to lie in my face. I can not wait to change banks.

Robert Wilder1I would leave 0 stars if I could. Our account, that we rarely use, has been hacked 7 times. Just recently I noticed a negative account on my credit report. TVA closed an account without notifying me that it was at a $0 balance and charged off $5 on my credit report. This took my credit score from 789 to 673. I'm in the middle of a home refinance! Now I cannot get anyone in the collections department to answer the phone nor return my calls. We have been with TVA for 9 years and have paid off 2 auto loans and 3 personal loans without 1 late payment. This is how you treat your members? After wasting my entire Monday morning dealing with this issue, I finally got in touch with someone in the collections dept and she was kind enough to remove their mistake. I run 2 companies and do not have time to waste an entire Monday morning. I will remove this negative review once my credit report reflects the changes.

John Barclay2Had to refinance a loan to move it out of my father-in-laws name. It took over 2 hours just to sign documents. The process needs to be vastly improved, especially since I got lucky to have a Friday off. If I had been trying to squeeze this in after work, it would have practically been impossible. Very disappointed. The regular transactions are usually quick, if there is enough tellers, some times the line gets long

C H3Mobile/telephone banking and website down very often. My previous bank had an issue with mobile banking maybe once a year. With TVA we have "disruptions" weekly. We won't be able to access our account unless we physically go to an atm or into the bank. It's so frequent that we are looking for a new bank.

Michelle Mainor5Been a member for 17 years. Trust this place. I do all my banking needs here for my personal use, business use, and also have savings for my children. Nice staff, clean place. Never had any issues here. Would recommend this bank to anyone and every one.

Triple R5I'm new to TVA and the people at the Gay street location where I got my auto loan are friendly as can be. But this location in Alcoa where I just made a deposit into my new account, the lady at the drive through was not friendly at all. I may stay with capital bank because the staff there are always friendly . Sorry for the bad review, but my first experience was not a good one. *EDIT* The have been great since. Guess the lady was just having a bad day. 5 stars all day long...👍👍
