I used iCare to help finance a dentist visit had a real bad toothache, after the exam was finished I reviewed my options with iCare and found a great payment option that fit my needs. I would definitely use this service again.

My rep Valerie Fuller at iCare has been awesome. We have a high volume dental practice in San Diego. We have a lot of patients that want to add to their iCare plans for additional treatments. I can always call her for help when setting these up. Thank so much for the help Val.

      Response from the owner

Great to hear you have had good support with out customer service.

One of my molars broke off and I needed an emergency root canal. I was unable to afford paying for procedure even with insurance coverage. iCare made it possible for me to be able to ensure that my tooth was properly taken care of in a timely manner. It really took the financial stress out of the whole situation. Thank the gods for iCare!

      Response from the owner

Glad we were able to be of service.

Horrible, horrible, horrible collection results. There are thousands of dollars still owed to us by patients and iCare customer service reps are clueless. Your healthcare providers will perform treatment for pennies because that's all iCare collects. Don't fall for this scam. Fortunately, we recognized their scandalous shady methods before our iCare loses worsened. Notice, iCare never loses. They take their chunk right off the top and then they charge a monthly fee while they TRY to collect. Then they take another chunk off of the small amounts they collect. There's got to be a law against this. Healthcare Offices, DON'T FALL FOR ICARE!"

I am a single mom of two, with no dental insurance. I was in severe pain. I didn’t have the $1,000 to get my tooth pulled and the root canal that I needed. I Thank God for icare payment plan. I no longer have to take pain medicine every single day anymore!!

Worst company ever!!! They are overdue paying us on every default. They promise to pay and then don't. Don't waste your time or money. I have been fighting with them for over a year getting paid on multiple accounts. The $3000 it will cost you to sign up is a complete waste of your money. There are reputable companies out there and this is NOT one of them.

We have been running with iCare for almost a year. Very happy we made the switch from our other financing company. Just got off with our rep, and they have an upgraded portal which is great.

What a joke of a company!! Yes they made it possible for me to make payments on my dental work, but they also STOLE from my account every month just about and when I tried to contact them I got no response, my doesn’t is office had to get a hold of them for me. Now here it is 4 months after my last payment and they have been trying to charge me their mo they fee every day this month and then today they pulled almost $100 out of my account. All of these transactions happen after work hours of course. AVOID THIS BUSINESS IF YOU CAN!!!!!! They steal and then do absolutely nothing to try to fix the problem.

We had high hopes when we discovered iCare as an alternate payment option for our patients that were unable to obtain traditional financing. The "sales pitch" excluded some of the fees the office would incur. We discovered these fees after we had already signed on. They require you to be PCI Compliant which is an additional monthly fee and a nightmare scan you must perform every quarter and then annually as well. We had to involve our IT dept and pay monies for them to come and clear it up each time so that we would stay compliant. In the beginning, contracts were always denied for little things; dates, phone numbers, spelling of names, etc. Silly little things that they would look for to make the contract "not guaranteed". Once we perfected that hurdle, then came the pts that started to default on their payment. We initially noticed a trend that they would send emails to the wrong offices. They sent several of my pts personal information to offices not affiliated with me which is a huge violation of HIPAA, not to mention violating their privacy as it also included updated credit card information. These emails state that they collected a payment and to remove them from default. However, if you never receive the email you can't post the payment (that you won't get in the end, I"ll address that in a minute) and you can't remove the account from default. So subsequent months payments will be missed and because you didn't remove them from default based on the email sent to the wrong office, they will no longer guarantee your payments. That's right, they send the email to the incorrect office and will not accept responsibility for it, and ultimately you are out of the money. They collect payment from pts in default and never tell you they collected the payment. When you finally ask about the account, they say the check is in the mail. I've been waiting 6 months for checks for several accounts that never show up. When you ask about them, they say they don't have access to that information about check runs. So you mean to say that you haven't run checks in 6 months? They pick and choose which accounts they leave in default and which accounts they turn back over to the office to collect, hoping that you miss a step so they can void the guaranteed contract. I've emailed managers, called and left messages, and I can't seem to get any of this cleared up. They also charge an annual fee ($1000) to renew that was not explained properly up front. I felt frustrated and wondered if this was something only my office was dealing with. I reached out to 10 other offices who 8 of them are also experiencing similar issues. In theory, this type of payment plan seems ideal for pts unable to obtain financing thru traditional means. However, it's set up so that you fail and not receive payments in the end after you've invested thousands of dollars to sign up with them -Tasha, Practice Manager Follow up 4-23-19: I have sent several emails and made several phone calls trying to follow up on defaulted payments. Katie Kessing doesn't even respond to my emails. We are sitting on thousands of dollars with iCare for defaulted payments. Each month I reconcile my accounts and send an email with all the pts that have defaulted that we did not get paid from. Never a response. We had 1 account that was almost a year old before they only sent 1 payment when the contract should have already completed and paid in full. They definitely need a better tracking system. The new system that was created a couple of months ago is not user friendly. I'd appreciate a response to the several emails I've sent about my default accounts so that these can be paid according to contract. Follow up 9-23-19: I still have accounts that are aging and not paid. We entered into a contract with iCare that default accounts would still be paid in full by the end date of the agreement with the patient. I reached out to our attorney and he confirmed that the contracts are legal and binding and that iCare is making a serious mistep by not fulfilling them as agreed upon.
