Azalo Castle1I really don't understand how a bank can be so awful. Customer service, services fees for everything, difficulty even opening a bank account for absolutely no reasonable cause. Oh my name didn't have my - in it. Like seriously... If you're reasonably trying to look for a bank absolutely do not use this bank. Ive had it for 4 years and it's my fault for not taking the time and finally just getting rid of it. DO NOT sign up for the secured card if you're looking at this bank even with my warning. You will have checks take days to go through, you will be left frustrated with random fees just don't do it. Continuing this I just got left on hold for 25 minutes then they hung up on me.

Steve Fialkowski2In order to sign into e-banking, you MUST AGREE to electronic billing. In order to withdraw consent, it says call the number. I have been on hold over an hour. I started at 1:30 pm on a Thursday. I just opened this account, but I can tell I won't be banking here very long. Nice people at the Highland Branch.

Galina Nikulina1Came to pay my loan today and get approached by mask natzi TJ with a stacks of masks and asking me to put mask on. When I asked him to show me on the package where it stays about protecting from Covid, he said it is not about Covid, it is about face covering. I told him he is not my doctor and I will not wear mask. I also think I will refinance my car loan with a different bank since I went earlier today to two other banks and no one was pressing me into feeling like this.

Renita Polen1I closed my accounts over a year ago due to receiving dormancy fees that they refused to refund, even though I reactivated my account. Turns out I was misinformed when I was told the fees were non refundable. I recently received a check for the $38.96 in dormancy fees that they stole from me. I don't know why it's so hard for businesses to educate their employees properly. It's such a shame, and I am not impressed with HVFCU.

Alexandra Fernandez1I am writing this review because customer service was not helpful at all on the phone. I have been paying my van lease through HVCU now for over 2 years. I always pay a few cents over the bill payment. Apparently last month the check arrived one day late. It may have been because of a holiday or a delay with my bank sending out the check or the post office had a delay. Either way it was one day late, the first time in over 2 years. I received a letter stating that I had a late fee of $20.92 and that they had reported me to the credit bureau. I called and spoke with customer service which apparently could not do anything to help me. I asked since this was a first occurrence and I've payed over every month plus it was delay that I wasn't even aware of that happened due to the fact that I pay through my bank if they could help me out in some way and they said no...just pay the late fee. I think this is unreasonable and not very " neighborhood friendly." This October when it's time to take out a new lease I definitely will reconsider my bank options.

Andrew Grant1I recently took out a home loan with them, at the beginning of the loan application process they were very quick and easy to contact. The first loan officer Tom was amazing. After a couple weeks they switched loan officers and it was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Played a lot of waiting for them to contact me back then when they did contact me they rushed everything and wanted stuff right away meanwhile I was waiting weeks to almost months to hear back from them. Even to the last week before my closing date they told me last minute I still needed stuff and rushed me. Now I know with covid going on it delayed everything but my neighbors put their house on the market and sold it quicker then it was to get my loan approved. Now even after I closed it’s still IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone. I sent my first payment by check in the mail and for a week now I been trying to get ahold of anyone to see if they got my check because they haven’t cashed it yet. I call their office and have to go through an automated menu and then wait for hrs to not even talk to a real human. If I knew I was going to go through this I would have went with another bank. Hopefully they can get their act together and my view on them can change. But for now very disappointed.

Walter Olen1The outside ATM machine just froze on me, and held my card hostage for 10 minutes. Sure, it was 0 degrees out, but I've never seen an ATM ever do that before. I just had to keep hitting the cancel button because the machine wasn't responding. Anyways, the card reader on the door rarely ever works, and the parking lot is littered with speed bumps and stop signs in places that don't make any sense. The old HVFCU building was dated, but so much better.

We are not experiencing any known issues with the card reader on the door to the ATM. It's possible that something could be wrong with your card itself. Isabel Johnsen1Customer service was terrible. Called in to discuss loan options after receiving a denial. After speaking with a customer service agent, who could give little more than the scripted prompt I was transferred to an underwriter, Tammy, who chose to make a belittling comment instead of upholding a standard of professionalism.

Eva Jamison1This review is for the “gentleman” cashier in the branch on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie that took my receipt and angrily held it up to my face. This was done because I asked him to do two separate transaction which requires two separate receipts. He wanted to put all my transaction on one receipts and so I unwittingly fueled his anger. I have been a member at HVFCU for 15 years. Most cashier are very personable, especially at my home branch in Fishkill. However, I don’t know what is going on with this guy but if he hates his job that much he should look for another one. After all, it was only an extra piece of paper.

Pooja Sarwal1Hi I went to your branch today.I been with the bank for 15 years.Some guy tells me I’m not allowed in the branch.He says one person at a time.When you have two atms why is one person only allowed.I had my mask on.All I wanted to do was deposit my check and he gave me an issue.I will no longer be coming anymore to this bank or be banking with you.I was trying to use atm inside cause the cars out there were using the atms.If this is how I will get treated or other people I do not recommend this location I have never had any issues before.
