  ATM charges $3.00 for a cash withdrawal. Also charges an additional $1.00 that you won't see until you check your bank statement. I'm sure not as many people would say yes to a $4.00 transaction fee. That's stealing!

  Worst bank ever! New in town and this is the only bank here. Twice they refused to open a new account. 1st time it was too close to their closing time now it’s because of the government and something to do with stimulus checks? Do they just hate new people? However, Wells Fargo in Parker was happy to open an account for me!

  At Horizon Community Bank we are very mindful of taking care of all our clients and prospective new clients however: As a result of significant deposit growth over the past 14 months, mostly associated with the federal stimulus, we have to retain our existing capital to support our existing clients’ needs. At this time we are not opening new deposit accounts for prospective clients. Banking is a highly regulated industry and we have to manage, simultaneously, capital, liquidity and earnings. As a result of federal stimulus and a resilient economy, we have seen market deposits grow by 50% more than normal times for the past two years. We anticipate this being a temporary phenomenon, and we expect to be able to accommodate your depository needs in the future. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

  I was told that I couldn't withdraw money from my Social Security savings account unless I opened an account with them. They said I could use their ATM and pay their fee but not at the teller's window. I have been through hundreds of small towns without a problem getting cash as I needed it. The Federal Government issued me the card and I've used it for everything. Not here! They are the only bank in town and let me know that I should not spend my money in Quartzsite but continue on to California where tourists are welcome. I wonder what other insane business practices they have? I certainly would not trust them with my banking needs.

  Needed a check from my Capital One credit card company cashed before it expires. They will NOT help you if you don't have an account with them. Snowbirds like myself are out of luck from this Bank. No help at all !!!

  Instead of answering their phones, they just pick it up and hang up on you! Insanely rude!
