  Great service, great people to work with. Will recommend to friends and family and use again in the future. They got me approved through a VA lender while I am currently in an active chapter 13 when I didn't even know I could qualify to purchase a home. This was truly a blessing. I am thankful for all the hard work of everyone that worked on my loan.

  Ron Gofourth assisted me from start to finish and he was absolutely amazing! He always responded quickly to any question that I had, and since I am a first time home buyer, I had quite a few! He explained everything to me in a manner that I could understand and made the entire process stress free. Ron has a very friendly demeanor that makes you feel more like family, than a customer. I would highly recommend Ron and Hometown Lenders for any of your mortgage needs!!!!!!

  Clyde set expectations and hit them. We can to him after being disappointed by another lender and Clyde from Hometown Lenders stated he would and could help us close our loan. He told us out the gate we will be closing on our home after reviewing our file and we loved the confidence and how knowledgeable he was. He did his job! Underwriting was a tad bit slow but besides that everything went very well we closed on how newly built home in less than 30 days from doing our application.

  I was deceived into paying $2,970.00 for 6 appraisals that to this day I have never received, nor seen. They canceled my loans because my properties didn't qualify, as according to Clayton Cooke, the values came into low. However before getting the appraisals done, Clayton told me that they would refinance my properties if they had values in the 25k range. Also according to them, my properties did come in around 30k a piece on appraisal (they never showed me the appraisals), but they then decided that they did not want to loan this amount. I spent over a month working on these loans for some residential properties that I owned outright with no leans against them, while being fully lied to by Clayton Cooke that these properties of mine would qualify and that there was no issue with their values for their lending purposes. I prepaid for the appraisals, as instructed by them, using a debit card from my business bank account. The appraisals apparently came to them, but they never showed or sent me any copies. To make matters worse, Clayton Cooke started avoiding my calls by having the receptionist block me when I inquired about what was going on, why I hadn't been approved, and why they weren't refunding my money for deceptive sales. After a month of avoiding me, I was finally able to get past the receptionist, only by giving her an alias for my name. As soon as I got through to Clayton Cooke, he hung up on me within a few seconds of finding out who I was. With that being said, I was completely cordial, business like, and professional in my communication with him in that brief conversation, as I had always been in the past. To this day I'm not sure were my money went or to who, judging how things turned around, I assume they pocketed the money and took me for what they could. Stay away from them!!!

  I would recommend Home Town Lenders for anyone making a new home purchase and look for Ron Gofourth because he was very helpful and knowledgeable helping me make my new home purchase. Ron was extremely nice and made me feel confident that he was working for me and explaining all the steps that we had to go thru. Thank you Ron for making my purchase a happy experience.
