Teddi Yagi5Mahalo for helping me to keep the scammers from taking my money. The teller who helped me and the supervisor for the teller and the branch manager ALL realized that I was being scammed and went above and beyond to stop the situation. Without them going out of their way, I would have lost lots of my savings. THANK YOU.

Victoria S1This is a review for the LIHUE BRANCH on the island of Kauai. Apparently this branch just opened up recently in the mall. I've been looking to establish a relationship with a credit union on island, and I walked in to speak to someone about opening an account. A "local" person who entered just before me was greeted warmly and familiarly by staff. When I made eye contact with the same staff member and smiled, she not only didn't acknowledge me, but she quickly looked away, as though hoping she wouldn't have to help me. Looking at all the other customers in the branch doing transactions.... I finally understood. I ended up turning around and walking right back out. Felt so unwelcome there... I guess they only want you to be a member if you look a certain way!

Nothing against others who've helped us previously but Kevin did more for us this day ... more than most but not all. Had he not been there that day, I may have had a serious nervous breakdown in their parking lot. He went above and beyond & certainly exceeded my expectations. Mahalo Kevin for your service that day! Amber Wright5I lost my debit card, and i was told instead of waiting for it to come into the mail, which would take 7-14 buisness days, i could go to the Kapolei or the Hononlulu branch on Aaala St. to get it in person. They were efficient, friendly and most helpful. I was able to walk out with my new card with no problems. Thank you.

Lilly Chun3I've been a member since 2006. I love the location, validated parking, friendly staff, and the services they offer. The only thing that I don't like is the technology they use. The mobile deposit feature doesn't work on the app. When I try to register for a new online business account, the email for the temporary password doesn't work immediately. I hope they upgrade their technology soon.

Greg G. 143friends 4reviews  A moment ago HawaiiUSA FCU is very difficult to work with. My bad experience had to do with a delinquent payment that ended up on my credit report because I did not get their notice that went out to an old address. Granted, this is partially my fault fur not upsetting my address, but that is where I say they are difficult to work with. There is no way to update your address online. In fact, you have to email them requesting a form that you have to fill out and mail in. Furthermore, While they did not have my mailing address, they did have my email. There is no reason they couldn't have emailed me notifying me that of the delinquency before they reported it to the credit bureau. I contacted them and asked them for leniency in this matter in light of these circumstances, but they did not care. I plan to terminate my business with them as soon as possible.

Mahealani Kahaialii2I’ve been shopping around for a credit union and HawaiiUSA was reviewed as the best in Hawaii. I heard great things about them and also saw that their numbers were great. I visited the website to do a more detailed research and immediately questioned if they were the best. I was disappointed with its presentation and had no desire to search anymore. I tried again, still disappointed with the website’s presentation but stayed to navigate the website. Let’s just say, it’s been a hassle to look for information I wanted. It’s not impossible but I shouldn’t have to dig for the simplest information too. Invest in creating a user friendly and more appealing website. I’m sure it will give customers and shoppers alike a good experience, as well as, increase your business.
