  I would highly recommend Guild Mortgage to anyone that is thinking about going into the process of buying a home. My husband and I were completely clueless in where to even start with it. Cliff Daugherty with Guild Mortgage was a huge blessing to us. He told us what we needed to do to qualify and after we did it we came back and he made things happen for us. He walked us through the process step by step and made sure we understood everything. He made the whole process smooth and easy for us. If we ever decide to buy again we will definitely be using Guild Mortgage again. Cliff and his team are hands down the best.

  Guild Mortgage is amazing!!! Highly recommend if you are wanting a great team that is quick, responsive and super helpful to make buying a home as painless as possible. Cliff is top notch as is Andrew and Marci. The staff went above and beyond to make our transaction smooth and seamless. The team stayed in contact and were very prompt with any and all tasks.   Guild Mortgage went above and beyond to help me with my VA home loan. I had what seemed like an impossible time crunch to close on my loan due to military training that I had to attend. Cliff, Grey, and especially Marci worked countless hours, and late nights to make sure I closed on time, even with a myriad of obstacles stacked against us from the VA. If I had to rate the VA, I’d give them -10 stars, but I wish there were more than 5 stars to give to Guild Mortgage in Rainbow City. They’re second to none and have earned my lifetime business and recommendations to anyone that will listen. Thank you so much again for everything.

  Expect to be taking advantage of if you are a first time home buyer. Closing cost on a 150k mortgage was nearly $9,000.00 dollars! This was not including the down payment, the home inspection, or earnest money ! I am so upset and disgusted with the way they tried to take advantage of my inexperience with the buying process. Cancelled the purchase after the home inspection revealed more than $25k dollars of repairs needed. They kept pushing to close anyways and now have sent me an invoice for nearly $600 dollars for the home appraisal, which was done after I notified my realtor of my decision to not proceed with the purchase. I’ve already lost $900 dollars on the home inspection and earnest money. Such a shame this is the way I was treated and taken advantage of and still trying to bleed me for more money.
