  Worst experience ever, and after that we received a marketing email from the loan officer who botched our loan and lied her way through the process. She and her boss and his boss made promises of rates and then sent higher rates and shorter terms with less than 24 hours to close. Fortunately we saw the writing on the wall and worked in the background with a local bank when we realized GSB was pulling a bait and switch. Find another mortgage company/bank and save yourself A LOT of frustration!

  Guardian is our everyday bank and they did the loan on our house a few years back...BEST bank ever for regular banking and it was the best home loan we have EVER gotten best rates and terms and loan process was flawless we use the florence location this is our 5th home loan over the years...just a great place

  Posting another review to show how awful these people are. We were under contract on a house that we were pre-approved with this bank. They will not talk to you at all while you are in inspection period. Once that was finished, we worked on getting the loan to underwriting. I had to email them every morning what to bring them because of the lack of communication. Once we got all paperwork to them, they wanted to go and try and have us get them employment verification instead of calling themselves. Once we told them we felt unheard and that they were uncooperative, they shunned us and said that no other bank could get us approved. Since then, we have been approved and moving quickly to still hit our closing deadline. All in all, they have horrible loan processors that do not know what they are doing, they do not understand a word you tell them, and good luck getting them on the phone since they do not call you. It look me 4 weeks just to get a textable phone since I was at work during this time. I corresponded with them through email mostly. If I was the president, I would be ashamed of my employees and would fire AT LEAST the two that "worked" with me immediately. based on the other reviews I see, it seems that their whole mortgage side of the bank needs to be cleared and started over. Still, one of the worst experiences I have ever faced in buying a house.

  Most ridiculous company I’ve worked with. Sold 4 houses in 20 years and this place is ghetto! They’re not even my bank they’re the buyers but have held the closing up for over a week because they can’t get it together! Wait till the very last second literally two days before the scheduled closing to decide they need more information that they 1000% DONT need because its not a government loan. Not to mention that a 1/4 of the paperwork they should (ALL OTHER REAL BANKS HANDLE) do then once again wait till the last second to say they’re not handling it. Completely unprofessional and made a perfectly easy transaction way more difficult and headache inducing then it should be. 0/10 recommend. GO TO A REAL BANK!

  One of the worst experiences of house buying I’ve ever dealt with. Their loan processors don’t understand anything and cannot hit closing dates due to laziness of employees.

  Stay away from this bank for mortgages. We had them do a appraisal of our property and it came in 30k under what it should have. Since then we found out that they do this to most everybody. We appealed the appraisal and showed evidence why we felt it was wrong but they wouldn't change a thing.

  I would suggest not to use this bank. They do not get back to you in a timely manner and are plain awful in communication. They could literally care less about you and brush you along.
