  Been a customer for about 4 years and I would say, my experiences are bitter-sweet. This is a small, tight store more for tools and miscellaneous items. Its like an estate sale, in a store. They come off a bit sexist and preferential. I've been offered lower prices for the same items as my spouse, a few times. Their customer service is not as welcoming as the other shops in the area. I buy more than I sell/pawn and I'm always going to spend my money in the pawn shop that offers me the most fair price for my items when I sell or pawn. So, if I am desperate, I will go here, for an unfair price .

  Walked in with a service animal. Guy had his own dog on premises I have no issue with that however the dog ran up to mine. I tried to keep the dog away and the guy kept repeating "he won't go out" newsflash the dog did attempt to leave the store to get to mine. I told him my dogs a service dog after he tried to tell me to take my dog out. I simply said just keep your dog away. The dog wouldn't listen to the owner and kept approaching mine which is extremely dangerous as my dog is a seizure alert dog. I ended up picking my dog up and leaving the store upset that the guy couldn't control his dog or even attempt to accommodate my need for my medical equipment.

  I would not recommend Gold Star Pawn. I hate to do this as I been a customer for a couple of years. Very rude when I walked up, did even evaluate my item which like everything I ever brought them has been in great condition. There’s been times when they would not do a pawn for fiancé that they did for me week prior and wound up doing for me . Just that kind of business I am starting to learn I am just very surprised as we never lost an item and our relationship has lead to well over 1k from the interest payments. Just shocked shame on that squad.

  I didn’t appreciate the way they treated. I was treated like I was a criminal. I couldn’t cash my check I got from my boss because they never heard of it is the excuse they gave me and I was denied. I feel like they were being bias towards me and not a place I want to go to ever again.

  Really nice place, had a lot of cool stuff. They do the weight of metals, so keep that in mind. I liked it a lot, really professional. Would definitely recommend!

  Being that this is the internet, I just want to say you can't believe everything you read. For example, my name is Jake but my post says Ben. I'm too lazy to create a new account and I'm locked out of mine so I'm using my brothers account that's already logged in. That being said.... Gold Star Pawn is one of the best pawn shops I've ever dealt with. I'm a long time customer who has established a good relationship with these guys and for good reason. They offer the most competitive prices for your pawned or sold goods. I've done business with other shops in the area and these guys will beat 'em just about every time. There's even been a couple of times where I've come in a little short, because, let's face it, life can be tough...and every time they have worked with me so that I wouldn't lose my stuff. Trust me, come check these guys out if you need some extra cash. They'll take good care of ya! - Jake

  I have read the reviews before I drove an hour to this place but had to see what was going on for myself. This isnt an "I got ripped off angry customer" post. They will indeed try and will rip you off if you let them. Perfect if you're not trying to get actual or even 1/2 the value from what you're pawning and on the other hand you'll find some stuff cheap there. Be careful with what you buy and sell and examine what you're being told thoroughly.

  Wow! I am really surprised by the last review on here. I have been a customer of Gold Star Pawn for many years and I know that they would never rip anyone off!! They are fair and reasonable. Do they need to make money, of course, but they would never pull anything like that. If it was an error I know for sure they would give you your money back.
