  I have had nothing but positive experiences with customer service. Their forbearance program could not have been easier to navigate and I have spoken to several reps about my options when we resume payments and they have always been extremely patient and kind in explaining everything to me. Even when I ask them to repeat so I can be sure that I understand. I know everyone has different experiences, but I have been very happy so far!

  The worse company, save your time, your money and your effort. After 5 months of they constantly lying to me they sold my loan to avoid honoring the rate they promised to me. If you are looking to refinance or your mortgage company tries to offer this bank as lender run for your life, you can't trust them with your information and certainly not your money.

  Worst company that I have ever worked for in my entire life. Horrible customer service and a terrible business model run by sociopaths. John Collingsworth is the biggest lying snake I’ve ever met.

  Do not go with Freedom Mortgage. Their policies are very unforgiving. I had a situation where I paid my initial loan payment late. If I did NOT pay the late fee for my first payment and requested that this did not go reported to the credit agency they would honor this request. Since I already paid my late fee, which I figured was the right thing to do, they can no longer give me forgiveness on my first payment since it proves there's no fault on their end. Me paying a late fee acknowledges this is strictly my fault and frees Freedom Mortgage from any correction which therefore leaves me screwed with my decreased credit score. Although this is a specific situation, it shows poor quality of customer care and willingness to work with its customers.

  Been trying to refi for over a year now. It's always something missing. This last time, i got approved from the lender, then about a week later, i called freedom to see when i can expect to sign, and they said that they closed the application bc of missing VA paperwork. I called the VA, and they stated that they sent them the required documents in july. Freedom never pulled it into the file. If i could sue them i would. The whole company, the call center is also as bad.

  This review is not for the call center specifically but for the company as a whole. I have been trying to refinance since January 2021 and it is now the end of June and I still haven't refinanced. Their customer service was great in the first few months, calling every week multiple times with updates. I now don't receive any updates to my loan and NO ONE will call me back. I have now been assigned to my 4th or 5th customer service rep, with no one responding to my emails or phone calls. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else.

  Current lender and they are horrible. They are quick to spam you with reverse mortgages, but good luck trying to get in touch with them. They offered me a refinance and now after calling and leaving messages for 3 straight weeks, they still haven't returned my calls. Someone needs to look into these guys. Beware of this company!

  I did not purchase my home with Freedom Mortgage. My mortgage was sold/transferred to them a few months in. I pay my bill manually and have had some interactions with the customer service that were lackluster but not miserable. My complaint is the constant marketing. My fiance and I are not married, but both on the deed. We each receive refinance offers in the mail. We each receive phone calls about the refinance offers. I have finally gotten them to stop calling our phones, and I requested to not receive any mailings about offers. I assured them that we would let them know if we wished to refinance. No luck. Still constant. While its by no means the end of the world, and yes I could ignore them, it boggles my mind that they are unable to stop sending refinance marketing to us.

  HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! My current mortgage was sold to Freedom and I am in the process of a refi. I was contacted by Freedom asking me to give them a shot, after I gave them permission to go ahead, I could not get the agent to call me back after I left her multiple messages and emails to call me and give me an update. I have perfect credit and she finally calls me back and promise that I will have my quote before end of business, never got it. Then she calls me at 7PM the next day and addresses me with someone else's name. I mean is this what you call professionalism or great customer service? I am in sales myself and I have never been treated this poorly. I tried to talk to a supervisor, and he did not even care. He said that they will call me back sometime. If you are looking for a mortgage company, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH FREEDOM MORTGAGE. Trust me there are many better companies out there that focus on customer service and professionalism. To Freedom Mortgage: You guys should invest more in training your people properly and treat your existing clients like royalty. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

  Wow!! If I could give ZERO stars, I would! This mortgage company is TRASH! If you can avoid this company, I suggest doing so at all cost!! My mortgage doubled because of their mistakes and I have been back and forth with them for 3 months trying to get it fixed. My numbers on the escrow analysis were done wrong. I found the mistakes and they FINALLY after about 27 calls put in a request and was told to call back again. So I did. STILL NOT APPROVED!!!! And I have to pay so it doesn’t mess up my credit. Every single payment was on time and paid in full. And now when they screw up no one can help you out. I understand things take time so I have been very patient. And this is it. Oh and customer service is terrible. I have spoke to a couple nice ones that were helpful. But the majority truly just don’t care to help you out at all.
