Ryan Hire1Never had a problem with Rocket Mortgage and then I was shipped off to the max security prison that is Flagstar Bank. I received an insurance settlement for my roof and I cannot do anything until Flagstar signs the check. Understandably, they ask for documents, however some my lawyers have never heard of and informed me that Flagstar is misunderstanding a settlement vs a claim. Regardless, I’ve sent them well over 10 documents and have asked repeatedly if they have everything they need. They refuse to contact me despite multiple emails, calls, messages, and even customer complaints and inquiries I’ve filed. I even had an email chain with them where they had been responding that has gone completely dark despite multiple attempts to reach out to them. I’ve gone through multiple departments and even tried finding the President/CEO email address to try to be heard to no avail. I’ve never seen such a lack of customer service and blatant disrespect for resolving issues when it comes to communication. My settlement check expires soon because for months, Flagstar refuses to communicate with in any fashion, particularly their claims and loss department. I had to put down $15,000 of my own money to lock in my roof cost and start date so not receiving any of my settlement money due to Flagstar’s blind eyes and deaf ears is infuriating. Makes me want to just pay off my mortgage just to not have to deal with this company anymore. If choosing to initiate a mortgage with Flagstar, I’d recommend looking elsewhere if customer service is a priority for you. Even if you don’t, just know your mortgage might end up in their black hole of a company anyways, where your voice and opinion carries zero weight.

G B1After Flagstar took over managing our mortgage the nightmare began. Into our first year the Escrow Dept “refunded money” at the same time the Tax Dept made payment for taxes. The deficit “never” triggered a letter or bill to us for lack of funds. Next a lower monthly payment Flagstar adjusted end of year and then continued for another full year. Customer Service stated a surplus in Escrow. The irony, a spike in monthly payment 600 dollars into the third year to make up for a Flagstar mistake. My take away from this experience. Pay your own property tax. I want to, but now faced with a 500 dollar fee to do so.

Rachel Lopez1Worst customer service ever. My mortgage was unfortunately changed to Flagstar Bank and it has been the most disappointing experience ever. Their customer service is absolutely useless and can never their customer loyalty is zero. If I could give them no start I defiantly would.

Sean Zimmerman1I had a terrible experience with Flagstar. As my mortgage servicer, they solicited me to pursue a HELOC. When I did the process took 7 weeks and the end result was the loan terms did not match those initially reviewed. This was a huge waste of time.

Joe Firmin1Very poor communication throughout the HELOC process. I had to ask for updates and throughout. I would send them requested documents and then they would email me 2 weeks later saying they are waiting for the documents. Unprofessional and disorganized. Had it not been such a long process I would not have gone through with it…. The HELOC I applied for at the outset, they changed the terms to halfway through the processDidn’t send closing documents ahead of closing. Payoff statements were incorrect for other accounts. Last time for sure dealing with them.

Then I realized how quickly they solved the problem because they actually care about their customers. If you are looking for a bank that cares about your future come come give them a try. Jorge Fajardo1This company has refused to pay the contractors and take care of my family with the insurance money that has been given to them to use for us. They are holding on to funds while my pregnant wife and 2 kids are sleeping in the back of a garage with little to no AC. There seems to be no end in sight and all they have done is shift blame to other departments. I have asked 3 times in the last 2 weeks to speak with the supervisor they put a “note” in my file 3 different times to call back with in 48hrs and 2 weeks later nothing. I was one the phone with the only helpful rep the other day and when I asked her to ask her supervisors a question they stopped responding to her. I just want to get my house fixed after hurricane Michael. We lost one of our children last year 3 months before the storm on my wife’s birthday and then we lost our house. It feels like we are just losing all around. Do not use this company. They don’t care about helping the people just filling their pockets.
