  I have worked with First Volunteer Bank of Etowah for many years. The staff at First Volunteer strives hard to work for their customers by providing educational classes and letting us know opportunities that are available to maximize our money and assets. The staff at First Volunteer Bank provide fantastic customer friendly service. I highly recommend them to all business and individual customers.

  We have used First Volunteer and it's predecessor Benton Banking Company for about 30 years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have no complaints. We do, however, feel that there is a lack of flexibility granted to local branch staff, SOO many decisions seem to require approval from headquarters and the feeling we get as a customer is lack of personal recognition. In times past we remember being told "typically we don't do this but since it is you". We realize there must be standards but the end result now makes us feel like we are just another customer, but then I suppose we are.

  I have recently opened a bank account with first volunteer bank, and I was having issues with my password and account details. I called First Volunteers’ phone number, and almost immediately was answered by Shaun. She helped me immensely with my password and account, and helped me understand much more about my bank account and how it works. She was very easy to understand and didn’t dance around any questions I had.

  We are new to TN and needed to have a document notarized. Our lender recommended we go to a bank to do so. Walked into this bank and they only offer it as a courtesy to their bank customers. That’s fine but, it’s not a great way to potentially get new customers. We will need a local bank as our current bank does not have a branch here in TN. Guess this one won’t be our choice.

  All employees that work at this bank are the best that I have ever done business with. The tellers and all the ones behind the scene are just so awesome and helpful.   The Etowah branch of First Volunteer has been our banking facility since moving to TN from GA in 2004...each time we’ve had any type of financial concern or need...we’ve always been able to count on each member of Etowah’s branch to offer their expertise to assist us! Our area is very fortunate to have this team in our community!

And, because they know what customer service means, they make sure I am happy being a customer of theirs.
