First Vincennes Savings Bank Reviews

James Parish1I have raved and helped to spread the word about this new bank I was so proud to be a part of. Yesterday they charged me a $30 overdraft fee which is the amount that my whole months water bill costs over a transaction that went through on my account when there was NO MONEY in the account. Never happened before but “sometimes they get through” is what I was told. That’s weird because I think the bank is clever enough with technology to know when an account is at zero. Now I don’t just owe a company who put me on autopay unknowingly, but I have to somehow cover the bill, the banks new charge, and still find a way to keep my water on in the middle of a pandemic. I am ashamed that I have recommended this bank to so many friends and family. The income of the average bank employee let alone the bank itself, to be taking from people who have less than that even is just dastardly to me. I will guaranteed be removing the account, and I encourage others to find a bank who makes millions but not at the expense of poor people. I could understand a dollar a day or a few bucks depending on the length of time the account was overdrawn, but to simply be worth that much money as a company and still take from anyone knowing they’re laid off work, in debt, etc just blows my whole mind. Please do better

Zane Bartlett5I'm very grateful I met Ross and the bank team, and I'm happy to put my money here at this local Vincennes business. They helped me secure a mortgage and open a bank account, with very little headache on my part. Ross is trustworthy, and doesn't withhold any information. He made the process very clear, and he went the extra mile to ensure everything was ready by sale and closing. Thank you!

Timothy Norum5I was on a very tight timeline to secure a mortgage. Worked with MaryCay in the mortgage department and was thrilled. She walked me through the process. With her connections with the local appraiser and title company, she made the impossible happen. Way to go!
