First National Bank of Burleson Reviews

Kevin Hathorn1I rarely leave a bad review but this place is ridiculous. Their customer service is absolutely aweful. Tried to change in already rolled change into cash and the lady looked at me as if I were crazy even given the shortage on change at the current moment during this pandemic was rude and refused to change it in. I would never bank with this bank given the current stars prior to my review of 3 4 there is a reasoning for their current low star rating and first hand experience of their poor customer service and given the completely empty parking lot. N the middle of the day at lunch time should tell all that needs to be told about this bank. Wouldn't be surprised if they r currently going under. Plz heave my words don't do any banking at this said facility
Response from the ownerDear Kevin, one of our policies is that we only change currency for our customers, who we have information for, and not non-customers. This sound policy is actually very common among most banks for numerous reasons. Our teller simply explained to you, politely, that that is not our policy to do change orders for non-customers. I think you will find that much like yourself, while we can't please everyone, unfortunately those are the people most likely to go online and write a bad review because they do not get the outcome they want. We have many very happy customers and are happy to work hard every single day to make that happen, they just don't write reviews online, they tell us in person. Also, since you mention it, because of our super convenient offerings to customers such as free online banking and mobile banking, a lot of people now can do their banking from home so they do not need to come by the bank, hence what you perceived as an empty parking lot due to what you thought of no one doing business here was an incorrect assumption. Plus, our staff is extremely efficient and can get our customers in and out quickly. Because of sound policies as mentioned above and superior customer service, contrary to what you typed, actually we are proud to be consistently ranked the highest, most superior rating by major bank rating companies for being one of the strongest, safest banks in the nation. There are many change machines around town that would be perfect for you to take your pennies and charge you a fee or you could take your pennies to your own bank.

Erin Russell5I can't say enough about this bank. They constantly go out of their way to help their customers all the time. You can still call and talk to a real person or you can easily do your banking through their free online banking and mobile app. Their account options are great and their rates on their loans are extremely competitive with anyone. It makes a difference being locally owned and independent and this bank is always giving back to the local community! Thank you to everyone at FNBB for showing us what a great bank should be!

Walter Roberts1Terrible bank with scam fees. Charged me $20 to close a checking account. Are you kidding me? You would think a local bank competing with the national banks would do all they could to be loyal to local community but no they need that $20. Total scam and I will never be back. Avoid FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF BURLESON!
Response from the ownerDear “Walter”, all of our fees are disclosed at the time when the account is opened and also when it is closed. Since it was only open for six days when you decided you opened it too early and wanted to close it, our $20 fee applies for the work that goes in to setting up and opening the account. After the fee was disclosed to you again at the closing, we gave you another option to avoid the fee and you declined to take it and instead decided to pay the fee and give us a bad review online. We stand by our fees for the work we perform as well as our steadfast commitment to and investment in our community. While we strive to make everyone happy, we are aware that no matter what we do, we simply cannot please everyone.

Name Name2After being a loyal customer and having a Business account for 8 years will be closing my account due to service fees. I also had a bad experience going out of town when my account got hacked. I was told that is was my problem to call and find the party responsible. Then my debt card was cut off and no way to get money on a trip out of town. This is not a home town bank . There are to many reasons to list why I would not bank here.

Gary Lee1No night deposit envelopes in Alsbury branch drive thru. Won't answer phone after office hours. About to switch banks.
Response from the ownerDear Gary, We’re sorry to hear about the lack of night deposit envelopes when you have been by the night drop. While we do stock them every day, unfortunately others take handfuls at a time and deplete us when we are not there in the evenings or weekends. Please call us any time to pick up some envelopes to have on-hand when you do make deposits after-hours. Also, as a local, independent bank, one of the things that has remained important to us is to always have a live person answer the phones during banking hours and not defer to an automated answering service. After employees go home after hours, we do have a switchboard that can direct you directly to the department you wish to talk to so you can leave a voice message and you will receive a call back the following business morning. We also have a "contact us" feature on our website at www.firstburleson.com and we will get back to you via email. We are always willing to help you if you would get in touch with us.
