  Buying a home long distance was much easier than we ever expected because of the timely and appropriate guidance provided by First Heritage people at every step of the way. We had virtually no problems or stress throughout the process. We got a good deal without any problems at all. It doesn't get better than that.

  Tom didn't respond, when we were applying for the initial mortgage, never received an approval or decline, very unprofessional back in June 2020. But received birthday and holiday greetings. However, was approved through another lender, and just closed on our dream house.

  I hate to leave such a bad review for the whole department because it was really just one person that made my first home buying experience awful. She was our loan officer, Kristina O'Neill. From the start she was not very personal. Not very helpful and almost came across with an attitude. This was my first home buying experience and she was not the best at explaining some things. What she was good at was blowing me up when she needed something from me. We received a lower rate and was told we would get it with in 48 hours. We did not. We had to email Kristina to ask for an update when she should have been checking in on us. I asked her several times what our new rate was and what our new payment would be and she would just ignore my question. Our closing date was for 3/16 at 10am. Well the Sunday before, 3/15 around 12pm she sends us an email saying that we will probably not be able to close as scheduled. LESS THAN A 24HR NOTICE. We were frustrated. She was supposed to get the appraisal in on that Tuesday 3/10 but was having a hard time getting in touch with the appraiser. I get things happen but her fault was letting us know the day before we are supposed to close. She really lacked in communication skills as well as keeping us up to date on everything. If she let us know sooner, I wouldn't have been so upset. We had a lot of thing scheduled for the week we closed. Movers, more construction, fence installation, and time off requested for work. We emailed her back several times that Sunday and not a single one was replied. How can you share this news with us and then not even answer our emails back? After much frustration and several emails, we were able to still close as scheduled but at 4pm. This was supposed to be an exciting time for my Husband and I and it was not. I have had several friends ask who and what bank this was and I will tell them to stay clear of Kristina. A friend of mine is working with her now and they had a question about something and she told him to google it! The main reason with went with this bank is because our builders referred them and because there was an incentive for going through them. If I knew it was going to be such an awful experience, I would have NEVER went with this bank and would have forfeited the incentives.

  The team at First Heritage Mortgage, led by Kristina O'Neill, was a delight to work with. Kristina and Katie McCann worked alongside of my wife and I throughout the loan application and underwriting process. They were always available to answer questions, making a complex process extraordinarily easy to comply with and complete. I would not hesitate to use First Heritage again, for future financing, or refinancing needs. I would recommend this first class team to anyone in need of financing.

  Requested a quote, Rob sent us one. Asked if the quote was good. He said yes. Sent all the required documentation. He said we were locked in at the quoted rate. Five days later, his office sends us the paperwork with a higher rate, after running our credit. Requested by email to be called to talk about the discrepancy, nobody does. Called the office three times, nobody gets back to me. Sent email to Rob; he said the company changed the policy and if I didn't want to proceed, he was happy to cancel the loan. I am appalled by the lack of seriousness of this business.
