  I just want someone to know about my experience at the First Federal Bank in New Baden, IL. At about fifteen minutes to three in the afternoon, I walked into the bank. No one was there (no other customers in or at the drive up) only the teller and one real estate mortgage representative. I had in hand a sizable check to open an account with the bank (never had one here). I was informed that she could not open any accounts today because she was the only teller there and that IF someone would drive up or come in, she would have to wait on them. She advised me to come back another day when there would be others there to tend to my needs. I will not be coming back. I think that lady should have said something like this. "I would be glad to open an account for you if you do not mind that I may have to be interrupted if someone comes in or drives up." Instead, she sent me away! Carol PS: This happened in April 2013, but I have tried to go online to report and did but never received a reply back.

  I opened a teen account, which I really recommend, all the staff was super nice and helpful, and I was in and out in an hour
