Exchange Bank & Trust - Atchison Reviews

Nick Schnieder2Nightmare to deal with. Everyone I talk to on the phone is very nice, but their hours are abysmal and their tech is a century behind. I’ve had my account locked, hacked, or needed to replace a debit card and not been able to get ahold of anyone for days since they’re barely open Saturday and not open Sunday, and when you do have a new card ordered it take a week or more to get in the mail. How a bank can get by with such short hours I don’t know, if they insist on barely having weekend hours then their online and automated phone systems need brought up to date. I often hit the transfer limit between accounts, since I often over-manage my money a bit, and have to call to get a transfer, so quite often I’m left with very little in my account and no way to get a transfer done. Tried today and their phone system said my SSN and/or pin was incorrect (which I have no idea how, when I call and get a human I give them my account number and SSN and everything’s hunky dory), and after three tries it locked me out of my account. So again, like many times before I’m stuck till Monday without any access to MY money. I’ve just had a long record of hassles with this bank.

White Rose Motors5I was nervous buying a bank repo vehicle from Richard, considering the bad reviews, but my experience was decent and he was cordial and helpful. My guess is that he isn't as easy to get along with if you don't pay your loan. But if you honor your agreement, he is perfectly fine to work with.

Cheryl Loy1I, CALLED EXCHANGE BANK, and asked for the MILITARY DEPARTMENT, and I, asked to speak to a MANAGER, about a PERSONAL MONEY ORDER, that EXCHANGE BANK had SENT to me, but the PERSONAL MONEY ORDER, had NOT, been filled out PROPERLY, by the person that I, was SUPPOSED to be RECEIVING, the PERSONAL MONEY ORDER, from. The so CALLED MANAGER, CHRISTINE came on the TELEPHONE with me and CHRISTINE, was EXTREMELY RUDE, to me! The so, CALLED MANAGER, CHRISTINE, I, THINK that SHE should get the ETIQUETTE BOOK, of MISS MANNER'S, and start to READ the, CHAPETER'S, on how to TALK and to DEAL with PEOPLE, "POLITELY," on the TELEPHONE. I, was SO, DISCUSSED, that I, RIPPED-UP, the PERSONAL MONEY ORDER, and VOWED that I, would NEVER, EVER, DEAL, or have ANY ACCOUNT'S, at the EXCHANGE BANK, because "APPARENTLY," they DO, NOT know how to DEAL with their CUSTOMER'S, and treat their CUSTOMER'S half way DECENTLY! So, I'm DISMISSING the EXCHANGE BANK, and DELETEING, them from my CONTACT'S, and also in MAP'S, because of their TOTAL LACK, of KINDNESS, and CONSIDERATION, of their CUSTOMER'S, PATRONAGE! TRULY YOUR'S Cheryl M. Loy

Dustin Cope1Poor customer service and unprofessional employees. Avoid Richard in the loan department. Extremely rude and disrespectful. To add to previous review the bank manager contacted me this morning and I thought that I would be dealing with a rational person and get issues resolved finally without argument. Right away he was rude and when I asked a question (I'm a customer and I talk a little crude) he flipped out acting like I was cussing him out and after 5 minutes of arguing about my etiquette which I had to remind the bank manager that he was a businessman and it is his job to act professional not my job as a customer to act professional. They had called me not the other way around and what business feels the need to act pompous and rude then freak out over how someone else talks. Not a professional way to talk to customers. I will make sure to never do business with this institution again.

S W5I have banked with Exchange bank for over 17 years. The military banking staff are always so helpful and ready to go above what most bank staff would do. A huge shout out to Kris D!
