Tom O'Brien5I'm not sure how this bank gets negative reviews. I've had a lot of experience with various banks and have never had the level of customer service that I get with Elevations. Time and time again they've shown compassion in situations that they didn't have to do anything at all. I've never been less than happy with this bank. I don't personally know anyone else who's anything less than thrilled as well. I appreciate that they are picky about to whom they make loans to as well, as I'm not comfortable with the ridiculous lack of oversight by commercial banks. Keep up the great work, Elevations. You have everything and more that the big box banks have.

Tim O'Crowley5I have been with Elevations Credit Union for over 10 years (I signed up as a freshman at CU when it was the University Credit Union), and have been so pleased that despite moving away from a branch, I still bank with them even though I have to use member branches for my daily transactions. I recently had an experience where I deposited a large amount of cash to a member branches ATM and was given an error message and the cash not deposited to my account nor returned to me by the ATM. I contacted Elevations, and from start to finish they handled everything for me. I had attempted to get the issue resolved through the member branch (not Elevations Credit Union) who essentially told me there was nothing they could do nor an answer they could give me as to where the money went (the worst answer a bank can give a person). Meredith in the Elevations Credit Union fraud department gave me the service that was the opposite of what I received from the other credit union. She assured me it would be resolved (even if they ended up having to eat the loss), and she did get it resolved. Every transaction and interaction I have had with Elevations has been top notch, and my experience with Meredith highlights that. Because of this experience, and all prior with this credit union, this year I will be refinancing my mortgage so that I have it through Elevations and when I trade my car in, my loan will be through Elevations as well. It is so important to know that if something bad and out of your control happens, that your financial institution has your back 100% and will get the issue resolved- and this is exactly what you get from Elevations; top notch customer service and a financial institution you can trust.
Response from the ownerDear Tim, Thank you for writing this detailed review! We're happy to hear about your experiences at Elevations, and we've shared your feedback with our team.

Gavin Medley5I love Elevations! Employees are very helpful, they are not for profit (credit union), they are local rather than corporate, and I actually find myself trusting the people who work there. On top of that, no account fees and I can withdraw money at any other credit union without paying a fee! All in all, completely different than banking with a corporate bank.

Christopher Brown1After opening an account with these people approximately 2 years ago I went in today to withdraw my $100 only to find that they had taken all of my money in fees charged to my account (for inactivity) and then closed off my account. Disappointed that no one there thought to actually give me a call about the matter. I own that it's my own fault for not having read the fine print that closely. Many people in town that I know have told me it's a friendly neighborhood bank. But after my experience here today it does seem to me that this bank has demonstrated otherwise. At the end of the day what's important to me is that I put Trust in this institution to do the right thing. Perhaps I misplaced that trust and they are really just another bank trying to take your money. They certainly took all of mine.

Ben Thompson1Elevations was the first bank I ever used. Been a member since the early '90s. Staff has always been friendly but after zero help on unauthorized ACH transfers I'm closing my account. There were no security checks in place which allowed the withdrawals to occur without my knowledge. An oversight on my part, coupled with their lack of communication and urgency in resolving the matter resulted in their policy on dispute resolution to exceed their date window. Instead they simply shifted blame and washed their hands. As a result, I'm out nearly $800. Mobile app is terrible. Website isn't much better.
Response from the ownerBen, We're very sorry to hear about your experience with ACH transfers. We are looking into this further, and have also shared your feedback on the mobile app and website with our team. Thank you for sharing this detailed information in your review.

Justen Staufer5Elevations Credit Union in Boulder is awesome and there is no one better than Cameron White-ford for home loans and refinancing. They are responsive, have the best rates and the least amount of red tape. They have in-house underwriting which can be really important to the home buying process. Thanks Elevations!

M J1I had an appointment to talk with a financial advisor about opening a retirement account, got to the branch only to be told I didn't have an appointment! The older lady at the front desk had told me four days prior that she had me down to see Patrick. When I arrived Melissa told me I didn't have an appointment and that Patrick was all booked. I asked if there was anything she could do, maybe see another advisor, I had been looking forward to this appointment since I booked it. She said "NO". Since she wouldn't even offer what could be done her attitude came across as arrogant. Since she and Patrick obviously didn't want my business by not even offering a solution they were also condescending. This has been the worse experience dealing with a bank! Ever!

Thomas Scott5Mike was recommended to us by Darryl Sobering, a fellow Keller Williams Realtor in Longmont, for a mortgage for our daughter's first home. Jean and I have been in the real estate business in Central FL since 2001 and have worked on hundreds of real estate transactions. Mike and Ann did a great job for us and among the best mortgage lenders we have worked with. I wish he did business here. We would love to recommend him to our clients and work with him again.
Response from the ownerThomas - Thanks so much for your comments. We've shared this with Mike, Ann, and our mortgage team. Congratulations to your daughter on her first home!

Jeannie Gunter1The concept of banking with a local credit union is fabulous. Unfortunately, the reality of the customer service, knowledge and professionalism at Elevations is a different story. My husband and I have had several bad experiences with them in the last few months - enough that yesterday I pulled all of my accounts and moved over to First Bank. First of all, we refinanced our loan through them and the mortgage officer erroneously told us we needed a first and second mortgage, which would have cost us thousands of dollars (luckily WE caught the error). Their receptionist/greeter has been rude to us on several occasions. When my husband opened his account there the banker he was dealing with at the time was working on several accounts and gave my husband someone else's ATM card, which he didn't notice for several days. Finally, they have recently had a computer changeover which was supposed to make it possible for me to open multiple accounts but which didn't actually work. I called my bank representative twice in a 10-day period to resolve the issue and never heard back from her to help me resolve my concerns. I think what is most upsetting is that with the mortgage banker and my bank representative neither one actually took responsibility for the situation and apologized for their errors. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is how those mistakes are handled that are important. Our mortgage banker blamed the mistake on hiring a new assistant and having too much work. The bank representative blamed the mistakes on the people working on the computer system and the fact that she was "too busy" to call me back. So, good riddance Elevations - it's really too bad that you are giving local credit unions a bad name.
