  i was driving around with my friend nick pretty late at night over the summer, maybe around 11 pm. we had both had long days and were pretty tired, and being out at night while already exhausted gave us both a weird feeling. nick compared it to the twilight zone, and i couldn’t have described it better. we were playing some music for a concert we would be seeing soon, consisting of Cage the Elephant and Beck. around the time we hit the intersection of west spring valley road and central expressway, “Debra” (by Beck) started playing, which if you haven’t heard, i recommend you listen to it so you can better understand the twilight zone feeling. we stopped at the light, both of us exhausted, the twilight zone effect feeling more intense by the second as we listened to the high pitched wails of Beck singing about Debra, which was now on repeat because we thought it was hilarious at the time. i stared out across the intersection aimlessly, and my eyes landed on the E-Z Shop Check Cashing storefront. at first glance, everything seemed normal, and my eyes slid over the storefront and back to the road, my brain unable to comprehend anything at all. but something felt off, like i missed something important, so i brought my attention back to the store. then i saw it. i slowly raised my shaking hand, pointing towards the sign... which read... “CHECK$ CHA$HED.” nick followed my line of sight and found what i was pointing at. softly whispers “...checks chashed...” and slowly pulls out his phone and snaps a picture. we drive off in silence. the next morning i woke up to a text from nick asking about the experience and if i remembered the same thing. we had the same memories but the night just felt so unreal i couldn’t comprehend. he later sends me the picture he took, serving as proof that this sign actually exists. without the picture, included in my review, i would still think the whole thing didn’t happen. this is both the most vivid and the foggiest memory of my 20 years of life.

  The clerck's there are very nice and the Dr. Pepper machine makes the best Dr. Peppers constantly and ciggs are at a great price. I go there everyday.

  Says check service 24 hours but went in and the guy said wont cash check till morning and was realy rude when asked about using his bathroom. Best service at cliffs or pls all day and night

  Awesome service 👍 check cashing was so fast and simple plus they take ur pic and ur fingerprint so next time u won't need your ID they where very polite seriously AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

  This place is amazing and opened 24 hours I highly recommend if you need a quick drink or a quick snack.This is the perfect place to come for when needed👍

  It's illegal by tx state to don't let's you use a restroom This store dont have. One Eaven if u are a costumer IT IS ILLEGAL TO DENY THE BATH USI IN TX THE STATE THIS LOCAL DOES NOT HAVE ONE. IT'S BETTER THAT YOU DON'T ATTEND THE OWNERS ARE VERY IRRESPETUAL
