charles mundell2Good for Del One to update their APP but the Mobile Deposit option is missing, no one returned my request for help twice from the "CHAT" option and can't get a live person on the phone. Had to drive to the local branch to get help. Del One used to have great customer service...not anymore....

Crystal Persaud1Crooks and cheats. They claimed to have closed my account due to inactivity yet I’ve made deposits within the the past year. They tell me my account is closed yet they’ve consistently deducted $5 from my account every month. Almost one month ago, I requested for my account to be “officially” closed and all monies to be mailed to me and I’ve gotten nothing. Nothing save for another dumb statement with $5 deducted from my already CLOSED ACCOUNT. Do yourself a favor and choose any other credit union or bank for the matter. You money would be safer anywhere but there.
Response from the ownerHi Crystal. I am sorry for your negative experience and would like to have the opportunity to discuss this with you. Could you please send an email with your contact number to [email protected]? I can then have someone reach out to you today. Thank you.

Tee&Tee Sabeet2It's unfortunate that I have to provide this review but I hope someone up there will get to see it and call the lady that calls herself the branch manager to order...... My wife and I wanted to open business account for our company. We went there, told by the gentleman we met that we needed to become member 1st, I signed up the membership immediately and after which we started the application process for the business account opening ... I provided most documents for verification except the IRS EIN.. which wasn't available with us there. We all agreed that we would continue with the application process when I returned with the EIN. Few days after, we returned with the needed doc. The new attending lady we met received the doc, took it in to her superior (branch manager) for verification. Now we continued with the application. Then the lady requested for another document, the Delaware Corporation cert. Well, we thought they could have provided us list of what we needed to bring along but no. We didn't still complain, and I agreed I would go home (20miles) and get the requested documents. So we left. Few hours after I returned with the required doc but this time without my wife. Simply because 1.She had submitted her verifications and also signed all needed during the initial contacts. And 2. she had her job to attend to. I provided the supposed to be last document to the attending lady, she reviewed it and then took it to her superior again (the lady that turns out to be the branch manager) for verification. While waiting, she returned and said my wife has to be there to sign before we could go on with the process. At this point I was exhausted from driving back and forth , and I simply said to the officer to give me back my documents and I would return to continue whenever I'm ready. Then from no where the lady that claim to be the branch manager who was in her office shouted out loud that there was no point being rude to them. And I asked .. when has "requesting for my documents" become rude... Folks the manner the lady ran out from her office towards me was unimaginable, and then the yelling and insults began. There was practically nothing this woman didn't say. I was shocked and again all I requested was for my documents. I wouldn't go on to escalate the issue further as I just wouldn't join issue with a raging woman and most importantly getting the bus account opened, I sat down with the account officer to continue the application while the branch manager standing close by continued to yell down at me... I never met this woman in my life and don't know her. She claimed to be the branch manager. Let's even assume I was wrong, which was not the case, what happens to customer is king,?.... What happens to conflict resolution and customer relations? This woman is lacking in both and it's unfortunate. I could have left but decided to just sit through it with the attending officer to get things done. Someone needs to send her back to training for conflict resolution and customer relations. If she thinks she controls a branch, she doesn't know if I'm controlling an organization. I do not have issue with the officer that attended to me, very pleasant.. except this lady that claims to be the branch manager. Till date I still think of this and try to wonder if I did something wrong but no........ This is a follow up to my review above..... Apparently the review got attention of someone up in Del-One. I got a response and afterwards, a call to discuss the matter further by listening to me. I do appreciate this. Apology was made and accepted. Now this is what you call customer relations! Thanks for your listening hear.

LaShonda5I had the opportunity to visit Middletown location now this is what you call Customer Service I don’t remember the young lady name she had (blond braids) her and another young lady I’m assuming the branch manager because she was in a actual office. Snacks,Water, Pens love it!!! This site and Main St Newark I say GOOD JOB visits like this makes me proud to be a member. Newcastle tellers Mean,Wilmington (No parking/safety for elderly members who has to walk far to get the the atm/branch) branches as well as the reps who answer from Dover needs work....the chewing over the phone, the inaccurate information to get a customer off the phone it’s frustrating .... Ladies at Middletown & Main St Again thanks for all you do!!

A Google User2They've gotten rid of all the tellers in the branch for tellers on a screen. You walk in to see rows of screens instead of actual people. I enjoy interacting with people not heads floating on a screen. Its just weird. And how many teller jobs does all this automation take away? It's sad and not something I look for in a company to do business with. I used to like Del One for the more local smaller business feel but that's all changing.
Response from the ownerHi Kim, we'd like an opportunity to explain our concept that is unique to Middletown. You'll find that all of our other branches are actually set up with a teller line. At Middletown, the machines you see are operated by Tellers at our Corporate office. The staff at the physical location are able to take service a step further by helping with many inquiries that would bring a member in. Are you available for a phone conversation so we can further discuss your experience? -Horacio

Response from the ownerHi Denise. Which branch location were you trying to use? They should accept $5 bill but it could have been full.
