  My husband and I recently bought our first home with Cross Country and the process was great. Jay, John, Cindy, Liz, and Heather were all the people we were in contact with and they were extremely helpful and professional. Jay was always reachable and willing to answer even the smallest questions (and, as first time homebuyers, we had a bunch of questions). Our closing process was quick, efficient, and painless. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

  This was our first time purchasing a home. Jay and Liz made it seamlessly easy and walked us through every step with patience, professionalism and due diligence. They were always available whenever we had any questions. It was such a comfort to know we could reach out at any time for their help and they would always be available. Every step was explained and Jay would always take the time to make sure we were knowledgeable of the process and advice us of the best course of action.   Recently I had a client who was pre approved with a large, reputable bank and looking to buy a home in Norwalk. After a few weeks looking he found a home he loved, placed an offer and his offer was accepted. In the week or two following his accepted offer my client was moving through all the motions of completing inspections and supplying the bank with the necessary information required for obtaining the mortgage. The bank was unresponsive at times and giving my client what you would call "the run around". They finally came back after two and a half weeks stating that they were denying him a mortgage "based on income". My client, a hard working single father looking to buy his first home for himself and three kids was crushed to say the least. What the bank was telling my client just wasn't adding up to me so I decided to call Jay Tolisano at Cross Country Mortgage. I had worked with Jay in the past and knew that if there was a way to get my client approved Jay would find it. My clients case was anything but cookie cutter, there were indeed several roadblocks but after reviewing his file and meeting with him in person Jay said there were indeed things that could be done to improve my clients file and intern get him approved. Jay and his team came back to my client with a plan within 24 hours. Over the next few weeks they worked diligently with my client walking him through the process step by step going above and beyond mine or my clients expectations. In the end my client was approved for his mortgage and his dream of owning a home became a reality. I can say without a doubt that this would NEVER have happened with out Jay and his team at Cross Country.

  As a Realtor with over 20 years of experience, I have listed, sold or overseen hundreds of properties being sold. I know more than most how important it is to use a competent mortgage lender to ensure a successful closing. So when it came time for my own purchase, the decision of who to use was easy. Jay Tolisano is the best out there!! He is responsive, knowledgeable, has competitive rates, and most importantly....Jay knows how to navigate the process. I can't recommend him enough.

  I used CrossCounty (Aimee Merritt) for my recent house mortgage and was very happy with my experience. I had a tight timeline to get a mortgage approval and they came through for me.Two things that I really appreciated - they were fast to respond to my questions and the speed at which they got everything done. The communication was great. I would recommend them to my family/friends.

  Working with Jay and his team really put me at ease. Moving from the city and buying in CT was all new to me. And they walked me through everything and put me at ease. Highly recommend working with them, very responsive and seem to care about their clients and getting them the best mortgage for their situation.

We had a terrible two years of looking for homes with previous companies and realtors and as soon as we met Randolph and the CrossCountry team we knew we were in great hands. They answer ANY question and concern that you have right away. Everything went so smooth buying our first home because of CrossCountry and we will be forever grateful!

  The people are responsive and polite at the Fairfield office. Liz was great. However the closing was a nightmare. Being told it was set for a certain day and my home selling in that day meant I needed to be packed and out. A 4 day delay created extra storage costs that in my opinion should've at least been picked up by them. But the real kicker is I emailed and spoke to several people several times to NOT escrow my insurance which did not need to be escrowed. EVERY person said don't worry we will be sure to not escrow it! Get to closing and what did they still do....escrow the insurance. I could not believe it. I have all the emails proving it. Once closed I heard nothing from them. Not even a note of any kind. They came highly recommended but even that person is not sure they'll use them anymore. Overall worse closing I ever had.

  Aimee is simply the best. We were connected to her when we bought our first home 3 years ago, she held our hand through the new and daunting process and when the IRS website got hacked (during our closing of course) and we couldn't get necessary documents, Aimee did not give up until we hit our date, which we have since been told "was impossible." She was our first (and only) call when we sold our first home and were buying a new one. She helped us hammer out how much we could afford, where needed to sell, etc. to make the deal work. She gave us accurate information on everything including closing cost estimates to make our decision. She is super responsive, very informative, and has "talked me off the ledge" many times when I was starting to freak out and stress during the process. She even took the time to go over what an FHA loan was, how it works, and what to expect, when we got an FHA loan offer on our house we were selling. The peace of mind and information you get working with Aimee is a no-brainer, especially for anyone working full time, she takes a lot of the burden, time and stress off of your plate. She resolved problems even with this last loan very quickly, and just makes it happens and gets deals done. Would HIGHLY recommend Aimee to anyone, especially new or first time buyers or anyone with complicated loan or financial needs. She is the best and so nice to work with.
