Joshua Pelkey1They try anything that can to rip you off. I’ve paid my 6 year car loan up to dat. I’ve paid every payment on my loan and should have be paid off in December it’s February and they are saying I still owe money. They tried the insurance scam but I provided documentation proving they were wrong. They refunded the $5,000 towards the principal of my loan but won’t refund the extra few thousand dollars they are saying I still owe despite paying every payment on my loan and have not deferred from their agreement. They say they automatically enrolled me in the Covid deferment program for three months in 2021 but i received no notice of this and made the payments like normal so shouldn’t have to pay them back for a deferment when I already paid and have proof. They won’t take in to consideration they may have charged me interest on the $5,000 insurance revise there is no other reason I should still be paying anything. They now owe me for the months I have overpaid. I tried tried reasoning with the manager of the loan department and he talked over me And my fiduciary as I’m a disabled vet. He continued to repeat that I still owe for the three month deferral Even tho I paid on those months. He told us both we don’t understand and when we replied understand what? He said that there was nothing he can do for us because we don’t understand something? I asked to talk to his superior and he said there wasn’t one. I’m unsure of what to do and they are fraudulently charging me thousands for no apparent reason.

That Guy1This company is horrible.. They wanted there money on time, but since my vehicle has been paid off they still haven't sent my all clear title. I've called back and they are rude, I'm not sure why I just paid you over $30,000 and all I want is the clear title for my vehicle. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB and I have the SOS looking into it. I will never go with them on my new car loan. By the way, its been a 4 month battle with them now. Time for someone else to deal with them.

Justin Bombul5I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. Recently, I had some fraud while working out of state. Lucy and Kathy were fantastic, but the huge kudos go to Shelby! She empathized with my situation, made me and my business feel important, and kindly took care of me while offering some encouraging words of support. The service here provided by these wonderful ladies makes me want to bring all of my banking needs right inside to the lobby! Thank you to Shelby, Lucy, and Kathy for taking care of me so kindly!

Gerald Mack1Avoid at all costs for loans. My wife and I got our car loan thru this credit union. We paid it off using our stimulus check and paid over the balance to ensure the loan was paid off. CU One issued us a check in the mail for the difference. I cashed the check at my bank and it came back as fraud/ forged. My bank then charged me a $12 fee which I was able to get refunded. I am still waiting for another check. They could not tell me why the first check came back as altered. It has been 3 months and this bank still owes me $53. Avoid this bank at all costs. See some of the other reviews of the same type of problem.

pey pey1I can’t wait to close my account and get my credit card paid off through them. They are so rude and always give me incorrect information which I then have to call customer service to get verified. They’re staffing is not diverse in the actual bank at all and they speak to me when I have questions like I’m incapable. So ready to switch banks.

Chris S2You can't ever get hold of someone at the local branch on Walker. ALWAYS goes to call center. Also they don't do what I need to, that other banks or credit unions do. Also there is no way to pay on the principle of my "First Mortgage" which is through Credit Union One. I have to send out principle payments to First Mortgage on 44th Street. This is why the low rating. The people that work at the branch on Walker are great.

Mike Gootjes1Had two auto loans through this credit union. First one I paid off and accidentally overpaid because I thought auto payments would turn off after the loan was paid. Took a few weeks for them to issue a check for me but I never received it. So they did a stop payment and would not issue another check for 90 days after stop payment. Took them over 6 months to pay me back. Second auto loan I paid off and they were holding onto the title because Indiana is a title holding state. Told me they would over might it to me on Friday. Didn’t come Monday or Tuesday so I contacted them again. This time it was Thursday. Still don’t have it on Friday. Kind of hard to sell a vehicle without a title. I have had several experiences of trying to contact this credit union. You get put on hold for a very long time and then hung up on when there’s a high call volume. You can chose to leave a message and get a call back. I’ve tried this a few times and have never received a call back. The only way I have been able to contact them is through the online portal. Overall this credit union has terrible customer service when it comes to communication.

R Neill1I used them for indirect lending for years, had a customer want to go through them, and they were furious when I did. The rep at the CU told the customer to just come in there, don't use the dealership, even though the rate is exactly the same. The customer was personal friends with another employee here at the dealership, and it made no difference. Credit Union One made us look like we were doing something wrong. All other lenders I use will tell the customer to just come to the dealer and finalize there. Stay away, I haven't used them since that day, go to LMCU or West Michigan Credit Union.
