nicholis savana1Have been a member with CUNJ for 4 years & have experienced THE WORST customer service this week applying for a credit line increase on my credit card (every other company you don't even have to reapply). I will be closing my accounts out with them & taking my business elsewhere
Response from the ownerHi Nicholis, we regret to hear this. We will look into this and have a representative reach out to you. We value your membership with Credit Union of New Jersey!

Anthony Kurtz1absolutely terrible all around. slow service at all times, there will be 4 tellers and only one or two of them actually helping customers while there’s a line backing out the door. plus now they’re only open 3 days a week & close at 4’o clock and that’s supposed to be okay
Response from the ownerHi Anthony, we appreciate your feedback as this helps us approves our services. We have been experiencing longer than normal wait times due to the increase in statewide COVID cases and current CU of NJ staffing constraints. We appreciate your patience and value your membership at Credit Union of New Jersey.

Brian Rivera1Very disappointed in this bank. I'm about to close my account and move to BB&T. I ordered a new debit card at the beginning of July and 3 weeks later I still haven't received anything. I drove 1 hour to Willingboro and their debit machine was broken. When the very kind and helpful teller looked into it, they never sent out a new card for me. She did try to have them overnight me a new card but I won't receive until 4 days later. Once again, the bank teller was very nice and tried her best to help and I appreciate it. Her manager or customer service rep, on the other hand, seemed bothered when I questioned why they didn't send me my card. She didn't seem interested in helping me. Like I said, I'm moving my account to #BB&T.

Meme Meme1Worst customer service ever. My card has been hacked twice in less than four months. Called and spoke to three different reps and got three different stories regarding protection from the bank. It took more than 7 days to get a new card sent (thank goodness I wasn't out of town and needed my money asap). Had to make several trips to the actual bank to get my damn money. According to the tellers, this has been happening often with this credit union. I have since joined another bank as a precaution just in case. They seem to be way too nonchalant about issues regarding ppl money. Not sure what's going on with this place as something is fishy here!
Response from the ownerGood Morning! I'm so sorry to hear you had a negative experience. Could you please provide us with your contact information to give us a chance to make it right?

Gladys Powner1Do not open an account here... Had a check deposit returned of 400 and now they are holding a $3840 deposit and will not allow me access to any of my funds when I have bills to pay. The bank was furnished with confirmation that the check cleared the bank it was drawn on still they refuse to release the hold on the deposit. Filed complaint with NCUA, BBB, Consumer Affairs, and reached out to NBC10 consumer affairs. Read the online Yelp reviews this bank is known for freezing customers funds and not allowing them access to their own money. They use the excuse that they are researching the account due to red flags all along collecting interest on your deposits they are holding. I am shocked that this place is still in business so beware. You can judge how responsive these people are by looking at the responses to all the bad reviews they actually only took the time to address a couple while ignoring all the rest. I can be contacted by email or phone at 609-528-4805. I spoke with people previously and been told rudely that the bank will decide if and when I will get access to my own funds. I have bills due and am accumulating a late fee each day my rent is late. To think I was so excited to open an account here and begin moving all my money here and was going to get my first CD. I understand the bank if protecting itself from fraud but they were furnished information from my college where the check was issued showing it cleared their bank and your corporate acct. review Dept told me they did not care, I told them I was filing a complaint with NCUA and other agencies he told me to go ahead and do it as it won't make him remove the hold from my deposit. They won't even give me a date I can access my funds or anything.

Sheila M1Why, during a pandemic, would you close the branch on Saturday’s? There are many essential state employees who are still working and cannot get to the branch Monday-Friday to do things not available on line. Poorly run and the lines are ridiculously long, many times while tellers are clearly not engaged in helping customers.
Response from the ownerA positive COVID-19 exposure required the closing of the Ewing Branch on Saturday November 7th. A deep cleaning of the facilities was completed in adherence to CDC guidelines for safeguarding the workplace during this closure. The safety of our members and employees is a top priority during this pandemic. We continue to monitor wait times during the pandemic in order to improve service. We apologize for any inconvenience during this trying time.

Brunel Mav3rick1PLEASE DO NOT BANK WITH THEM. My inlaws warned me but I didn't listen. I read bad reviews but ignored it and I got a car loan with them, the interest rate was fair because my credit score was 738. Months later, my loan was the same, so I looked into my account and noticed they have secretly been charging me fees. After weeks they reimbursed me. Then 5 months later, they did the same thing. So, I was angry and paid off my car. Three weeks later, I didn't receive my car title. I went to the office they covered the story and sent me to HQ then back to the local office and after 3 visits, they told me that the had lost my title. I signed for a duplicate and left. Another 3 weeks later, nothing so I came back to the office and they claimed I didn't sign for a duplicate title. When I gave them the details and they later found it behind their desk. They had not sent it. I leave angrily and no one bothered to even explain anything or try to expedite my title, they just didn't want to take a day and go to DMV to collect my title and pay $80, then they suggested I go myself, then they "might" refund me. That just pissed me off. I am done playing nice. I will be getting a Lawyer. What a terrible bank.

Valarie Grady5Staff in Willingboro are great. Very informative about their banking products. Able to help you sort through all of the banking products to find exactly what's best for you. If I didn't mention how friendly the staff is, they go beyond making you feel like family. Everyone's looking to save money, low rate fees, no fees when your account has direct deposit.
