  CCU IS AWFUL! I have had multiple issues with this credit union. I have been asked to REMOVE my mask, have had issues with a few tellers being rude, aaaannnddd, at one point I went in to close my credit card, and they didn't close out my info on the computer, and the next guy who came in to open an account was assigned MY account numbers! I had 6 overdraft charges in one day! Luckily, the man was an honest person, and HE contacted the credit union asking why his charges don't seem to appear to be withdrawn from his account. I STRONGLY advise anyone looking for a credit union to pass by this sub-par establishment!

  Great people but poor business practices. My boyfriend and I got car loans through them together on the same day and set up to have them automatically withdrawn. The people there are absolutely fantastic and worked so hard to help us get these loans, that I was incredibly optimistic about my future with this bank and even considered closing my accounts with my long-term bank and moving here permanently. But, from the first payments they've been messed up. They withdrew his payment from my account without my authorization and didn't withdrawn any from his account. We thought we had it figured out but now his payment has been withdrawn from his account AND my account (without my authorization again!) so my payment is past due and he's paid for almost 2 months. I'm sure we can all agree that a bank that has such little security that it can complete unauthorized withdrawals/payments like this is probably somewhere that's to risky to trust with your money and business, which is sad because they really are GREAT people, just bad at business.

  Don't get an account here if you plan on doing any out of country shopping online. They automatically assume you're some senile old person who MUST be getting fraudulent charges and wont put them through.

  Thank you for reaching out. Restrictions are put in place to protect our members from fraud and varying regulations in countries other than the United States. Another reason overseas transactions are blocked is because it’s difficult to work with foreign merchants if fraud occurs. We are able to make a few exceptions, if you are physically visiting that country and sign a blocked country waiver form or if you need an exception for transactions related to education or business purposes.   I opened a account with them in 2015 then became very sick for 6 years after which I was negative in my account $375 not only did they let me pay off the balance in installments, they let me continue to use my account as if nothing ever happened. Now that's good people. Community Credit Union is top dog in my opinion.

  Only bank around here that’s closed on Saturdays. Pretty inconvenient for those of us that actually have a job.

  Thank you for sharing your feedback Nicole. Our branches have been closed on Saturdays since 2017 due to the lack of transactions conducted by members during those hours. We do participate in Shared Branching and there are several local options for members throughout Androscoggin County.   Horrible hours of operation. I work during the day like a lot of people. Closing at 5 and not being open at all on Saturday makes it almost impossible to use this financial institution. Decent rates on loans if you can deal with their hours and not speakings with a loan officer in person which I find more personable.

  Monday During the storm I went to the credit union to get a rent check. I was stopped at the door and the reception lady would not let me take care of my business. I have a service animal clearly marked and would not let me through the door. So I walked to the drive thru to try to make a transaction . They could not accommodate me at the drive theu. I left the bank in tears. I never was so humiliated in all my kife.
