  This time around, the process was extremely long and arduous. I lost many chances of getting a better home just waiting for pre-approval. My loan officer did not keep me informed or stay ahead of tasks due to the abundance of people buying homes which made me feel flustered and upset. Everything was last minute and rush, rush at the end. So much work goes into looking and finding a home but you never know you truly have it until you sign at closing. Tough emotional roller coaster as system is set up to keep the buyer in the dark. Once you put an offer on a house and it gets accepted, so much can go wrong and you can't bid on any other house as a plan B or C and you lose money and time if you cancel a deal. Basically you are trapped unless deal falls apart. Not sure if I made the right choice...
