Chase Bank Reviews

Life With LoLo1Let’s talk about judging a book by its cover without knowing the inside. My boyfriend came to this location for a cashiers check for hood business. Two associates there one Asian & One Indian both decided to question him multiple times about the another of money he wanted in the check and also provided poor customer service. No information was provided although he wanted to also open a business account soo we went to a Chase that would appreciate our business. I will be calling corporate As well as the branch manager. I’m sure if it was another customer who was white, Asian or Indian they would have received the best customer service. The crazy thing is this chase is located in the neighborhood I live in. Please do better in 2022

Eddie W1I came on a Saturday at 2:10pm with a desperate need to withdraw cash. The branch closes really early on Saturdays at 2pm and BOTH ATMs were not functioning properly. The one on the right was out of service and the one on the left could not dispense cash. What's up with that??

Chin Choi1Make sure you count your money in front of tellers and do not take your eyes off tellers after handing out your cash to them when you try to get coins. Today, I gave $110 dollars to a teller to get 11 rolls of quarter, but she said she got $100 dollars after counting my cash in the machine. This was the first time happening to me in any chase branch, but this same issue has happened to my wife numerous times in some other branches. I counted my money several times. It was $110 for sure. I guess chase bank tellers do not make enough money to make living.

Jay Kay1The banker/teller and the manager lied about Chase policy: My wife and I went into the bank on 4/27/20 around 3:20 PM (EST) to create a joint account. The only banker/teller at the time told us that if we're not both citizens, we both need a permanent residence card (Green card). I told the banker/teller that I am a citizen, we both have personal checking accounts with Chase, and my wife has a tax id, and we just wanted to create a joint account. She said that even if I am a citizen, my wife needs to be a citizen or a green card in order to open a joint account. We then turned to the manager on duty, and she also stated the same. We told them that this seemed unusual, and we have not heard of this, and that a year or two ago, a friend of ours created a chase joint account but one of the couple had a visa. The manager stated that was not possible for Chase in the past few years, and that Chase's policy changed 1-2 years ago. She said it might be best for us to try other banks because Chase requires two people with either a citizenship and/or green card to open a joint account. So about 3:35 PM-3:45 PM (EST), we asked to then have me added to my wife 's personal checking account. The banker/teller said that will take about 30 minutes or more, and their system just went down, so asked us to come back the next morning. We asked to schedule an appointment next day so we can get it done quickly. She said scheduling was not necessary and that she will take care us personally. Next day, 4/28/20 around 10:15 AM (EST), despite working from home, we went into this same location in the morning, and waited on a continually building line to get to a new banker/teller. The banker/teller said he can help put me on my wife's account, but since he is the only banker able to do this, he asked us to wait until there is no line. We told him that we don't understand waiting on line to be told to wait for the line behind us to be depleted because the line kept getting bigger. Then, the same manager from the day before told us to come towards her cubicle, and explained that they were short-staffed and busy so we need to wait for this process to be done. She also went on to state that one of the employees got infected with the COVID-19 so they are very short staffed and the one teller and one banker/teller at the time were not even from this Branch. None of which is concern for me and my wife. Furthermore, the past two days we were there, the manager was not wearing a mask, and on this day, she was speaking to us without social distancing and it made us very nervous. That afternoon, 4/28/20, we headed to the Chase branch in Bayside. While the banker was helping my name to go into my wife's account, we asked him the same question: Do two current chase account holders both need a citizenship and/or a green card in order to open a joint account? He said that is not true and since Chase has both of our information, he can create a joint account for us. We already adding my name to my wife's account so we did not create a joint account, but wanted to confirm if this is a real policy. To Chase: I am not sure why this branch is providing false policies or why have posters of social distancing and "wear a mask" recommendation, but the manager on duty does neither.

Anonymous Guy5The best chase bank you will ever go to. We’re talking expert service and professionalism. I’ve been to the chase banks but this one is by far the best I’ve been so far. Because it’s not in the ghetto neighborhood candy and coffee is always available. The furniture is not all messed up like my local Chase bank. And the tellers are actually friendly...

George Karayiannis5Extremely amazing and friendly staff. Every single one of them. They do an amazing job to take care of customers. The only minor complaint is that the branch is always busy and there is always a wait to speak to a personal banker. That is probably due to the fact that they do such a good job that they attract a tremendous amount of clients
