Chase Bank Reviews

Michael Grunberg1A wire transfer was initiated on line and failed and I retried (on hold) for 35 minutes to then be hung up on, I was forced to drive to the branch. Branch itself was gutted of staff (aka all of them called in sick). The one officer couldn't seem to get off the phone as was apologizing over and over and over again for the failings of another (missing) officer to tend to business but frankly should have said it a couple of times and moved on. Instead, I stood there for 15 minutes listening. Finally she paused long enough to shoo me to a teller whom she said could do a wire. The teller looked shocked that she could do a wire and sent me back to the officer who finally got off the call. She did the wire and and all was well. Later that afternoon I got a call from the unhappy contractor that the wire did not go through (it was Friday) and my job would reflect same on Monday. Later, no one at Chase could explain why the wire was rejected BUT the wire did go through (Monday) with Citibank on my computer (no problems). This has happened before and coupled with their archaic security measures, sometimes quadruple verifications and very low wire daily limits (even if a Private Bank Client) . . . it's clear this bank needs to re-evaluate how this segment of the populace banks or they simply don't care. I'm closing my accounts but still don't know where to go (in East Hampton).

Gillian McCrea1Ash at this branch is absolutely incompetent. We have been trying for two weeks to get my Dad's POA approved so we can pay for his medical care. They do nothing to help us and don't pick up the phone or return calls. This branch is useless.
