      I just completed the process of getting a car loan at this branch. It was the easiest and smoothest experience I have ever had with a bank. The tellers are polite and even the branch manager is kind and welcoming. They make sure to share all the options available with you including warranties if available and gap insurance. Dondra even put in loads of leg work to lay out different loan structures for my specific loan so I could pick the one that best fit my needs. I couldn't be happier with my new car and it's all thanks to them!

      Hands down this is the best bank I’ve ever dealt with. If you have the opportunity to be a member I cannot stress enough how amazing this credit union is. Customer service is simply perfection. Most of my interactions with Carolinas Telco has been with Kristin and she has consistently been genuinely helpful, quick to respond, and knowledgeable. I’ve also had to call on a couple of occasions and each time my issue has been handled quickly and pleasantly. All the products we have with Carolinas Telco are great. It’s wonderful having all of our major financial products accessible through the mobile app. Making payments and tracking balances is super easy and can be transferred directly from your checking account. If you are tired of feeling like just another account this is definitely the bank for you.

      We have been using this bank for 9 years now. We operate a small business through this bank as well as my personal account so I have to visit and or talk to the bank very often. The customer service has been excellent every time! It is a bank where everybody knows who you are and they make you feel like family. I can not say enough good things about all the people that work there.

      I have been a member of the Raleigh branch of Carolina Telco and worked with its Branch Manager, Ms. Dondra Hiles since January, 2018. Dondra and her staff have always treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy. Dondra, in particular, has been a SUPER banker and pulled out all the stops to resolve all my banking needs from providing me with a vehicle loan to begin a new employment contract, which led to full time employment, to providing a credit card with a generous limit. Banking has never felt so good. Dondra Hiles is Simply The Best!!!

      Have banked here for over two years and have never had a negative experience. The employees are so friendly and it has a nice personal feel when interacting with them which you don't always get at other financial institutions.

      I recently became a new member and I was pleasantly surprised with the attention to customer care. The ladies that run this branch are thorough and caring (you can’t beat that 1.5 APR on rewards checking). Go CTCU of Raleigh!!

      I have never had a worse banking experience in my life. After being a customer for almost three years, I’ve had to justify my purchases to the fraud department (which is an overseas third party call center). This has happened no less than five times in a week. I’ve been trying to make online and in-person, after verifying that I have enough funds in my account, only to be declined by the merchant. When I called the credit union, they were very friendly as always but couldn’t explain why this was happening. The rep told me twice that she would put a “temporary block” on the fraud department so I could make purchases. A day went by and all was done until I tried to make an online purchase. The charge was declined (for $1.98!) and then my card ceased working for in-person charges. The most embarrassing was having to call the credit union and third party fraud department on two separate occasions today just to clear purchases >$10. The first went through after speaking to the rep at CTFU but the second (for a total of $3.25) would not be approved even whilst on the phone with fraud department. I verified multiple transactions with the rep and she said all was fine. Then I attempted to have the merchant charge $3.25 and it was still declined. The fraud dept rep then explained I should contact my financial institution (after business hours) to have them assist. The rep could not give me a reason for the decline; even after looking at my recent transactions and all she continually offered was “contact your financial institution.” I’ll be closing my account and implore anyone thinking of opening an account with CTFU to do their own independent research before considering this credit union. I’ve unfortunately not had a good experience in recent months and the lack of explanation is worrisome.

      Maybe a good banking partner, but mortgage handling is highly unsatisfactory and unprofessional.
