  After Hurricane Harvey hit, Caliber offered us a Forebearance Agreement for a 6 month term. Wow! We thought they really care about their customers. WRONG. REALLY WRONG. When we reached out to them in month 6 they stated the agreement did not have the proper signatures & that we owed 6 months of mortgage payments NOW! We had the documentation & sent copies several times but naturally they didn't get them, couldn't find them & so many Caliber tactics it was ridiculous. We hired an attorney and not even the attorney could get the situation handled. We lost our forever home for 24K & then at the auction we watched Caliber buy OUR house back. There was no bidding, their representative showed up & that was that.. The moral of this tragedy, NEVER EVER USE CALIBER HOME LOANS. We are 4 years down the road with a foreclosure on our credit at retirement age renting a 100 year old half farmhouse with added on half newer build & still fill totally destroyed. Caliber doesn't even deserve 1 star.

  The Caliber rep was scattered. We locked in to a 2.8% refinance rate. We had to pay for an appraisal and $50.00 processing fee. She strung us along for 3 months asking for different docs every couple weeks. The day before our signing she called and said we needed a new survey of our property, which we had provided early on. And wanted us to pay for it. This was the worst experience we’ve been through of many past mortgage experiences. We finally backed out. No refunds on any of our money. STAY CLEAR!!!
