      I have been with Bath State Bank for about 5 months now. My experience has been far beyond professional. The personal service and attention that I have received from the bank has been a life changing experience. They treat you literally as if you are a member of their family and take you banking needs very personally.       My wife and have been trying to buy a house for awhile. We had some issues from a previous house and no lender would help us. A friend of ours recommended Bath State Bank. We worked with Melanie Watterson. I explained our situation to her and she said she thought she could help us out. After the last 2 previous lenders said no, I said ok, we will try one more time, we have nothing else to lose. Sure enough, she got us approved and we closed our new house sooner than expected.       Just a poor choice of bank. Customer service is very questionable and certain customers get preferential treatment over others. Bank policies are NOT consistent and silly fees for just about everything.
