  I came to Bank Newport because I wanted a local bank for my business. But the truth is this bank is soo slow...at everything. I have other accounts at other "bigger" banks and the truth is Bank Newport's Electronic Banking is light years BEHIND. After business hours even their electronic banking will not process most transactions. You can do POS but not deposits or transfers electronically. At this Bank business closes when the bank does. Just as soon as all of my payments go through for this month I will have no choice but to close this account. If you want to keep your money in a savings account you should go here. But if you have a business and go non stop, seek a more modern bank.

  Don't bother with the exterior ATM. Doesn't work if you don't have an account here. I have a receipt for a withdrawal from my online account WITH NO MONEY! No help from the staff. Sorry... Grr

  I have been a customer for over 30 years and am well satisfied with the service. I appreciate the "small town" feeling and the fact that the staff knows me and is most helpful.

  Do not use this Atm.. breaks and eats deposits at least once a week save yourself the stress
