Atlantic Union Bank Reviews

skyla owens1I opened up an account here because it, is a local bank that’s in my area. I added overdraft protection to my account to ensure that I am always covered. I went to deposit my check into my account and I was told that they have to hold my check for 5 days because I frequently use overdraft protection. Even though I pay those high fees of 37 per transaction a service that they chose to offer they are still holding my money that I work hard for for 5 days. Which mean they are putting me in a position so that I have to incur more fees. I am a single mother of 2 children that in order to feed them I have to incur fees they are on Spring break and the money will not be available until their break is over. It’s almost as if they prey on people that have hard times as a community bank they have no interest in helping the community. If I overuse it and it’s a service that I pay for then why am I being punish for something that is offered. Why put people in that situation. I have to get gas buy food basically live. The teller actually told me maybe I should go to Walmart to cash my check. I have to go somewhere else to pay them when I have a bank, I got my account there so I would not have to stand in line to cash my check. The branch manager said she is not willing to over ride it because of all the things happening whatever that meant. It’s obvious that she care more about making money and capitalizing off of those who are already struggling to make ends meet. That’s heartlessness, I truly wish people in those type of positions really looked at people as human and not numbers there’s no humanity in that. If they offered financial lessons instead then they would increase the numbers without hurting the people because those things create loyalty and knowledge and put the power into the people to make better decisions which creates a better money flow for everyone.
