      I deposited a check for a friend to help him so he could move here to Stillwater he said it was his payroll check. So when i went to the bank to see my balance they took my debit card card and told me my account would be closed in 30 days. I wanted to see my onlie banking and they took that off of my phoneso now i dot know how much money i have in my account. I am locked out of myaccount. The bank said i t. wa s afraudulent check. myown account.heck. They have locked me out out on my computer so i cant see my bank accounts either.. i amDont bank there at all. getting a attorney this is wrong.

      I opened a new account with Arvest as I am moving from out of state. I was informed there would be a 4 day hold placed on my check (as expected), but, as federal guidelines dictate, I would have access to the first $200 in 24 hours. This was on Thursday. As of Friday morning, my check had already cleared my previous bank. On Monday I went to make a cash withdrawal to cover such minor inconveniences as having no food. I was informed not only was the hold still in effect despite my check having cleared, I do not even have access to the first $200 as promised. The hold would be removed Wednesday. As of Wednesday, I still have no access to my money. The reason? "Oh, the hold will automatically be removed at midnight." Holds department tells me removing a hold early can only be initiated at the branch level. Branch refuses to do anything. And they have the audacity to tell me it's for my protection. Protection from what, pray tell? Accidentally feeding my family?! Congratulations, Arvest, on your rather dubious record - nobody has ever been able to make me royally ticked in 4 days, but you've done it!

      Well let me start off by saying management is very unprofessional! I have now hired an attorney and reported to the BBB. I had plenty of money in my account and went to deposit a large check well a 1 day hold on that check has turned into 4 and they used my money plus some which put me over in my account. The money that was already in my account to hold against that check causing distress for my ill child who I could not purchase her meds because they can't pick up the phone to call the bank where the check is from to verify that it is in fact a good check! Then the manager Mike can't come to the window and talk to me instead had a teller do his dirty work..so I called headquarters to have him call me. Headquarters is now involved because they were unaware of the situation with my child needing her meds which led to bigger problems! Mike says they will charge me fees and return anything that comes through while check is on hold, headquarters tell me different. They better know that all my money plus the money I deposited best be in my account come Friday morning because this has turned into a huge case considering they are causing health issues and not releasing my money! DO NOT BANK HERE I DID NOT KNOW 30 ARVEST BANKS WERE SHUT DOWN due to this stuff...Thank God my attorney is making them pay his fees for court! Whwn I spoke to Mike on the phone I cried explaining my situation and he just giggles! I have pictures of the amount of money that was in my account before I deposited the large check to show what needs to be put back in my account minus what lil I have had come through, I contacted the checks I had out and explained to them what the bank is doing and they were in shock and will hold my checks until I have my money back on Friday..it takes a phone call to find out the check is good but he refuses to call that bank! He wants me to wait for the hold to come off so he can collect all the fees he can from me. I can't wait to close out my account here!

      I used my routing number to pay AT&T Direct tv and they didnt even pay it and i want to know why arvest bank didnt accept that payment from my checking account on my check. I think im going to close this account at arvest bank

      Arvest has been a great bank to handle personal and business banking. With COVID, understandably they had to alter hours at times (never stated but evidently due to staffing issues). What frustrates me at this point is that at the same time as closing the other Stillwater location and touting this location as a great option, they have permanently reduced hours here (INCLUDING DRIVE THRU) making doing business with Arvest in Stillwater very inconvenient. If you want to do banking on your way to or from work, and you work 9-5, forget Arvest.

      ATM machine my daughter's bank card and they refuse to give her money back because it never gave hhermoney from the machine but charged her account. They told her the machine and refuses to do anything about it Since the email they gave me doesn't work this was my reply Why would I talk to you? We already talked to a "manager" at the bank. She said the was absolutely nothing she could do and it was our problem to fix it AFTER a clerk told us the manager could file a dispute. The manager never offered that or any other solution. We weren't the only ones there that this happened to and I suggested to the manager that she might put a sign on the ATM so it doesn't continue to happen. She said we were the only one to complain (which was false) and it was just maintenced earlier that day so she refused to put a sign on it til the problem was fixed. I bank at Arvest and I was very unhappy at how the manager (if she even was one) handled the situation. Instead of trying to help she just brushed us off. I've delt with defective ATMs and the company made it right the very next day. Your ATM has *Arvest" written all over it. Therefore it is YOUR ATM, YOUR PROBLEM, YOU FIX IT! Thank goodness my daughter has a REAL bank that fixed it for her no thanks to your Main Street branch in Stillwater

      I have banked here for years, and never thought about leaving a review. This is the best bank ever!!!!! I used to deal with IBC for my business, and they were so terrible. I finally got my job to switch to Arvest because I was totally done dealing with IBC. Thanks Arvest people for being great!

      Don't waste your time at this Arvest! Everything time I have been to this one, I have been treated rudely. If you really need money, I recommend going to the one on 6th Ave. At least there, they are always kind and willing to help you with all your banking needs.

      I opened an account on May 24th. and I had a great experience opening my account with the bankers. I’ve heard great things about arvest so I was excited to open an account with them. It has been almost a month and I have yet to receive my debit card. The told me to wait 5-7 business days and here I am about a month later cardless. I was informed I would have it no later than the 12th and it is currently the 15th and I have nothing. Meanwhile I am supposed to gon on vacation soon and need my debit card asap so I can use it while I’m in another country. If you’re looking for great customer service, go to arvest. The staff there is very nice, helpful, and reassuring, but be prepared to wait a month before you even get your card in your hands.
