  Angel Oak Home Loan made it easy! Getting a mortgage these days is TEDIOUS,, uhh. I hate tedious paperwork. But my loan officer, Trione, kept it painless and seamless. I wasn’t resending and resending the same info 5 different ways. Trione advocated for me to NOT have to give or pay for any unnecessary forms or fees. She got me the BEST rates. I am using her again, right now to refi another property.

  From start to finish Rick and his team had everything under control and kept us informed the whole way. With all the covid19 issues it was still an incredibly easy process. Rick found us an incredible interest rate and talked through all our options. This is actually our second time with Rick. Excellent work and communication both times. We have had a wonderful experience and will work with them again.

  We had an awful misleading experience with them! The loan officer collected all our documents required and preapproved us. Couple of weeks passed and they had us order the inspection and appraisal. The night before due diligence was over they called me to inform me that they are denying us the loan because we had a late payment made to our previous mortgage, 7 months prior (This was covid related) We lost approximately $1,000 out of our own pocket because they had us move forward in paying an appraisal and inspection. They failed to screen out something very basic that should have been caught earlier on (the late payment). I was unaware that was a requirement otherwise I would have inquired on it. They simply apologized and admitted it was an oversight on their part. I kindly asked them to reimburse me the appraisal of which they replied a firm NO because I was late on a previous payment. This is why we chose to hire a loan officer so they can do their work. They should not have allowed for this process to have gone this far; and especially notify us the night before due diligence period expired. They will never receive my business nor recommendation. Edit to add a message to Angel oaks reply. If you check your records again and carefully you will see our last names (husband) and I were pursuing the loan. There were several mistakes and overlooks during the loan process which was part of our poor experience and it’s possible you could have overseen our info in your database. I write my review with an approach that for better business in the future, hopefully my response will make aware of our experience in order to help to prevent other similar concerns.
