Allegent Community Federal Credit Union Reviews

Kevin Stinelli2Would be 1-star if the people I've talked to on the phone weren't nice. Not saying they've been helpful or have resolved my issues, but at least they're nice. Even though I've paid off my loan, the autopay is still active. And even after doing what the person told me to do in order to deactivate it, it's still active. Which brings me to my next point. The website is atrocious to navigate. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. And yes, the transition period was also atrocious. Get your act together.

quinn perlora4I admit that the transition period was UGLY, but the staff were unfailingly polite and apologetic. My mother was a federal National Credit Union Administrator CPA and relayed that this ugly transition period was very likely due to the fact that the CU went from being a NON-federal credit union to a FEDERAL credit union, meaning that there were much more stringent policies and procedures enacted, and that the staff thus had a very steep learning curve. I've stuck with them thru the frustration, and am glad I did.

tom deane1I am a former Riverset credit union member. After months and months of preparation time for this transition from Riverside to Allegent credit union, I am amazed at how sloppy the transition is going. I have spent the last five business days trying to get balances on my checking and savings account. My new Allegent user name, pin number and password are not being recognized on the mobile app or the website for Allegent. After one attempt, my user name was recognized but the secondary security question was a different one from the three that I chose when I registered my Allegent accounts.I did talk to a representative, after waiting 49 minutes. The person was courteous and kind but could not access my account. They tried another representative and could not get through. Unbelievable! I am considering moving to Dollar bank, where I have another account.

Lisa Tamres1It is clear this credit union was not set up to handle the recent takeover/merger of Riverset Credit Union. I am also a transfer from RIverset. My online payments are not working even though the FAQ says they should. I can't access my accounts online or via an app. The error message says to contact customer service. I spent 3 entire hours on hold trying to reach customer service the other day and got no answer. I have called multiple times and spent 15 minutes to 30 minutes on hold with no answer. I sent an email to both support and tech support two days ago and no response, not even an automated "we received your email". I have not even been able to start using this credit union and I am ready to transfer all of my accounts out. Right now I am in a panic because my credit card bill is due in 8 days and we are going into the weekend.

Ryan Walsh1Despite weeks of seemingly clear mail and email communications about how I the customer needed to prepare as Riverset Credit Union was merging with Allegent Community Federal Credit Union, it's the folks at Allegent are not at all prepared. Folks who bank with Riverset have not been able to access our accounts for three days now. I've tried multiple times to enroll online and only receive unhelpful error messages. I've not been able to reach anyone by phone for two days. And their phone system puts you on hold for over an hour without a call-back in queue option. And there are no other means of communicating with the bank. Terrible start to their "Better Together" merger with Riverset Credit Union customers.

Monica Love1I'm a Riverset CU member who has been forced to switch to Allegent. I've been on hold today for over an hour, 30 minutes on Friday. Cannot access my accounts and receive unhelpful error messages on their website. I've also emailed in hopes that someone will call me. I'm going to go to a branch on Thursday. This is outrageous. I'm worried about my savings! If they can't handle this merger for customers, how can we trust our money will be handled properly?

Aaron Plitt1Horrible customer service. Not able to create a login. I tried calling, sat on hold for over an hour on 3 separate occasions. All I wanted was a payoff statement. I e-mailed, did get a response after a day, but had already sent payment to avoid a late fee. Got a payoff statement in the mail, paid, and then got a letter saying I owed $.30 (yes 30 cents). Do not recommend, and if ever offered a loan through Allegent again, I will look to finance elsewhere, even if at a higher rate.

LR1If I could give this place a NEGATIVE 100, I DEFINITELY WOULD! You can NOT reach ANYONE on the phone and IF you do, no one knows ANYTHING. Tellers are incompetent. Lines are ALWAYS ridiculously LONG . You're unable to access your account online. I have been a member of Pittsburgh Teacher's Credit Union, then it became RIVERSET. There were NO ISSUES....Allegent FCU is BEYOND HORRIBLE....I can NOT believe how inept this "company" is! I was supposed to receive a paycheck and it was not in my account. I called my company's payroll dept and the woman stayed on the phone with me while I was inside of ALLEGENT. They tried to blame it on my payroll dept, but the woman corrected them. I became infuriated and inexperienced, inept bank mgr told me THEY have to sometimes put it in manually and they "missed it", it may take some time to put in there.. I told her MY money BETTER be in there within this hour. How do you "miss" something like that??? I wish RIVERSET would have NEVER left.

Geri Ibrahim1I have tried on two occasions to call this credit union. The first time, I was on hold from 2:30p until they closed at 4p. No one ever took the call. The next day, I called at 1:30p and was on hold until 2:30p. Again, never spoke to an agent. I don't have all day to sit on hold, and I am not impressed at all with this credit union.

Kenneth Maben1I am so disappointed thus far with the aligning of Riverset to Allegent. I've tried to reset my online banking for weeks. Then, on my day off I stayed on hold for four hours trying to get through. Finally, after getting a pick up they just hung up on me? I may be switching to another bank soon.
