  Working with Alex & Betty was exceptional. He was able to finance the purchase of our land, the construction loan, and our permanent mortgage all in one transaction to avoid additional closing costs. Alex always responded promptly and professionally and was always proactive. And in this environment of rising rates, he was able to lock in a rate that was below his competitors.   I have purchased several homes with various lenders and can state with confidence that Alex Wright is by far the best lender I ever worked with. From his excellent communication from my very first phone call to going above and beyond to ensure a smooth and seamless process from application through closing, I can't say enough good things about Alex. I felt like he was a true partner in the buying process, always available to answer questions and patient when I was jumping back and forth between a construction loan versus second home loan.   I was looking to refinance my beach house and a realtor I know down in OBX recommended Alex so I contacted him and went over my scenario with him and he was able to slightly reduce my monthly payment with a 13 year loan at a great rate that I could not get anywhere else as I did shop around. With the new loan that actually closed yesterday I will as mentioned save money each month plus pay off the loan quicker...win win situation. Alex was a pleasure to work with as I do live in NY so all our dealings were by phone and/or email. The process was smooth and efficient and Alex kept me posted on the status of the loan at all times. I appreciated his knowledge also of the area as when you deal with other banks they are not nearly as familiar with OBX and special requirements for Flood Insurance etc. All in all a great experience. Also a shout out to Deborah and Wanda who work on Alex's team! Thank you again for the hands on approach during the process.

  Having to apply for a home loan can be a daunting task.........NOT ANY MORE! From the comfort of your own home in a remote place, dealing with ALEX WRIGHT and his team made what use to be unbearable, a very PLEASANT EXPERIENCE !!!!! ALEX is a great listener, problem solver and communicator! He furnished an 8 STEP PROCESS upfront, which did a great job setting expectations, and stayed in contact with us all along the way, giving us updates and advise. The request for documents were the bear minimum and the turnaround time from Application to Closing was quick and productive. Thanks Alex, you and the Citizens One Team are great to do business with! Thanks also for helping this old guy how to use technology.....you took the sting out of feeling inept in today's technological world!!!!

  Alex was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive, reliable, and communicated effectively throughout our entire process. This was especially helpful being that we were out of state buyers.   We had not bought a home for over 28 years, and found one while on vacation in OBX. The Citizens One Home Loans team was exceptionally helpful through the entire process. From the initial pre-qualify phone call they kept us informed as to the stats of the loan and all its parts, ensured nothing was missed. They really made very easy for us.   Alex is a rock star of a loan officer! He helped me out consistently from start to finish. I texted with him frequently and even off business hours if I had a question and he always responded immediately. Very tech savvy! Highly recommend!
