"Update: Shortly after I posted this review, Mallory reached out to me as seen below. I gave her a call and she listened carefully to the details of my concerns. She put me in touch with Gary Wertz who resolved all of the issues I was experiencing in a matter of minutes. He also took an interest in getting feedback to improve their business. I am really impressed with their drive to fix customer concerns. While I wish I hadn't had to resort to a negative online review to get the assistance I needed, these two really came through! I am pleased to continue to be a customer at Security Federal Bank. I would encourage anyone who has concerns about their banking experience to escalate these concerns upwards- there are people at this bank who care and will help. Original Post: I am only giving this branch 1 star because 0 is not an option. This used to be a great bank, but now they will use any opportunity available to add fees to your account and make it difficult to utilize their services then blame you for the issues. I already switched to primarily using online banking a few years ago due to significantly better internet rates and only maintained a local bank for convenience. However, the atrocious customer service I have received recently from this bank has demonstrated it's not worth it. My advice is to take your money elsewhere!"
